- In this video we visit the beautiful Pine Mountain State Park in Pineville, Kentucky. This is Kentucky's 1st state park established in 1924. We give you a quick tour of this park plus insight on all the things you can do here!
We stayed at the park’s lodge, which has cozy rooms, a restaurant, a gift shop, and a stunning view of the mountains. (See our room tour). We also enjoyed some of the park’s amenities like hiking 2 trails (Honeymoon Falls and Chained Rock). We had a lot of fun exploring the park and admiring the nature and wildlife.

Kentucky's first state park is amazing. So many things to do and see. Great that the park is free. Beautiful mountains and forest. Nice video capture of the deer. I love honeymoon falls and that lovely sunset. Have a great week.🙂🙂

Nice visit to the resort. Honeymoon Falls was just a trickle but still beautiful. Interesting about the chained rock. Minus the wet and cold, it looked like you still had a great time. Take care and have a wonderful day.
Thanks Steve we sure did :) Yeah in winter this waterfall slows down, I bet in spring and summer its flowing pretty good, still fun to see it with the ice, we dont get ice down here in FL so it was refreshing to see lol :)

I love that Kentucky's state parks are free to visit! Some nice views, some nice shots of the falls 👍 Not sure that chain would hold Chained Rock, though... that was a pretty massive boulder!

It is much better to see a deer up close in the woods than a bear so you were fortunate there. Honeymoon Falls looked nice. I am fascinated by Chained Rock. I have my doubts that a chain would hold that boulder if it started to fall. Maybe... but I don't put a lot of trust in that chain. You had a great view from your balcony. Yea I really want to see a bear, BUT i think I would freak out if I actually saw one wihile on a hike, lol. Maybe see one while driving through the park lol. That chain rock was such a neat story, I just got a good laugh out of that one haha, Thanks for watching Alice!!!
The honeymoon falls area looked amazing. I like the way it trickled down. It felt like you were down in a cave and the water was dripping down into it. I don’t know about the chain and the boulder. The Timelapse sunset looked awesome. 👍

You could take a very cold shower under that waterfall! I don’t think there’s any way that chain would hold that big boulder. Ha ha.
