- In this interview conducted by Chinese reporter Li Jingjing, dating back to the summer of 2022 and following the financial crisis in Sri Lanka, Hussein Askary (Vice-Chairman of the Belt and Road Institute in Sweden - BRIX) presented evidence on the fact that the Sri Lanka crisis originates in Western financial institutions, not China. He also traces back the origin of the narrative to a 2018 U.S. State Department operation.

Let me remind you it was the Shri Lankans who reached out to China to get the Loan..It was the Shri Lankans who negotiated and agreed to the terms of the loan...The Shri Lankans could have walked away from the deal before it was signed. It was the Shri Lankan government who ultimately signed the deal. Show your evidence...you can't because you don't have any...

Very simple, if BRI and China investment is so bad but many countries still prefer them to western investment, then one can imagine how bad the western investment or loan is.
At least many people is seeing the China loan or investment is a better option.

They are doing that in their own GLOBAL TIMES, all the time. Other asian outlets maybe sometimes touch this issue. The western media would often not let this information reach the people and we have to think why it is so...
A Better Definition: Instead of using the terms Global South and Global North, I suggest using more accurate terms. Whipco and Pocco. These would more accurately describe the difference between the two. BTW, Whipco means White People Countries and, you might guess, Pocco means People of Color Countries.
