So refreshing to see your daughter working right along with yall,I watch so many videos and the kids just stand and watch the parents working. She is a breath of fresh air.
Hearing you say most people don’t have cows ride up front reminded me of the time my grandma used my grandpa’s new truck to bring two baby calves home in the cab riding on the laps of my mama and aunt. Grandpa was not happy when he found out!!
Being a "Citified" Country Girl, I watch a number of homesteading channels (vs tv). While I've only recently come across yours, you've quickly become a favorite. Your personalities and outlook on everything is wonderfully amazing and entertaining. What a fantastic life for all of you. Thank you for sharing it with us. ♡♡♡ Terri

Goats & Marema ( livestock guardian dogs) were my last & most enjoyable. Thanks for sharing your beautiful family and farm. Best wishes & warm weather from Florida.
I wish I could spend Thanksgiving with you and your family Jason. You're all so sweet and kind, and I have no one to spend the holidays with. Except for my cat.
I love it, instead of this beautiful young girl asking for a Barbie doll for xmas, she's asking for dahlia bulbs! I WANT HER!!! If I'm alive when she runs for President, she's got my vote!
July 2024, Rewatching the old days little Cog prior the Cog Hill 40, the amazing Love and Joy is still here but so many things have changed, the Vision was taking shape. But Oh the thing we will see, the things you will do, it is an amazing transformation. 😀👍👍👍
My father was from Oklahoma, my Mom was a first generation Italian. My Gran taught my Mom to make their traditional cornbread for stuffing, but my Mom couldn't help herself and also added a couple of handfuls of freshly grated Parmesan, and tons more garlic & a link or two of Italian sausages. I tell you what, I had the BEST of both worlds in one dish!
I am all for the longer videos. I love it! The calf is adorable. * Maybe place a Pedometer on nuggets ankle and I wonder if they have one that tracks speed? LOL! Nugget Olympics 2021 hahaha!

Mrs CogHill, I’m so happy to see you gearing up for thanksgiving, we can’t go to our son because his other half family isn’t being cautious like we have been. My husband cancer is in great shape, low numbers etc I can’t take a chance. I’m so sad that we have to think like this, my dad passed on 9/29 so this is the first holiday with out him. He loved good dressing and lots of homemade gravy. Mrs. C, I’m going to start getting things together, you’ve inspired me to start preparing and buying.. Turkey for 3 please or do I just buy a Costco chicken and doctor it up? Please love on Nugget he’s my favorite

I use to love watching calves nursing from mamas. They would butt mamas bag if milk wasn't coming fast enough. I was amazed at what mama cows put up with!! 🙂
Henri is doing whats natural. Calfs headbutt the cows utter to make her release the milk. Im sure it's good but I almost cried when she smashed up that cornbread!
You guys are so amazing! I LOVE NUGGET! And in love how your animals have names and are not afraid to be touched and handled by you all. Your sweet daughter knows so much about all of her chickens... and I couldn’t get enough of watching her with Nugget. Simply precious. I know I’m late seeing your video. I’ve been watching them when they pop up. I remembered to subscribe and hit the notification bell today! You all take amazing care of the animals medical needs. BTW: I use an electric black and decker chopper to prepare my onions, celery, and bell peppers for my cornbread dressing. I also like to put chunks of chicken or Turkey meat mixed in my dressing, along with a cup of oatmeal or crumbled crackers. You can also add a couple slices of white bread to it. I always make enough for the freezer also. Oh yes, I like to roll and cut my collard greens into 2 inch pieces. It is SO DELICIOUS! But your collard greens look really DELISH, too! You sure make some beautiful cornbread! Baby Henri was just trying to nurse your pants. I don’t know who reads and edits the videos, but I just wanted to say... THANK YOU to your beautiful Family for sharing your life on your amazing homestead... away from all the craziness everywhere else. Be safe! Okay, I like Peaches 🍑 🍑, too. LOL! I just wanted to say thank you for always being so positive. My family truly needs it we have lost 11 family members recently and my children watch your channel to help them recover and heal from these deaths

Our girl, Fern, is a jersey heifer and shes like a big puppy dog! So sweet and friendly! Don't tell the piglets, but she's my fave here on our small farm.

Hey peaches 😍 and raising cows is amazing especially if you help raise it from birth and I love how y'all are always helping others y'all are truly amazing people
Pretty much the only difference from your family dressing recipe from ours is Granny always put a few slices of toasted white bread to the cornbread. But have never topped with pads of butter. If Granny we’re here, I’m sure she wouldn’t mind me adding this to her recipe. Butter is a food group to me. Yum!!!!
When I was a kid we bottle-fed 24 plus calves at a time. We bought wire hangers to hook over their pens to hang the bottles in. The powdered milk was mixed in a gallon pitcher as a concentrate. We poured an equal amount into each bottle, added water shook each up, and placed in a 12 pack 2-liter coke box. Then we hauled it to the calf pen in a wagon with the lawnmower. No vacations maybe an overnight trip to Opryland or Six Flags if someone could feed for us.
It’s great that y’all are part of a community that helps each other while others are away on vacation. I stress over finding someone to watch my cat for a few days!
Loving the longer videos Loving how momma cog hill is in the videos more. Just loving on ya all makes my day brighter loving vicariously through your videos
That cornbread stuffing looks so delicious. If you wake up Thanksgiving morning and notice a fat man strutting the property with Miss Peaches, don't be alarmed, it'll just be me waiting on that that dressing to be served. lol
You can use the bottom part of celery re use. Put it in the ground in Jason his garden. You will get new celery growing. I did it last year in pots in front of my window on the southside. We eat all the time fresh celery. Cut everything of and it start growing again. Big hug Lanie.
Loved, loved, loved the longer video. It's so enjoyable to watch you'all work together and see the progression of the garden as it grows. Be safe. Many blessings to you.
My dads dressing is just about the same. Only difference is he used to use a table grinder way back in the day. It was celery, onions and bell peppers, chicken the broth where the boiled the chicken corn bread and spices not sure what other then garlic and pepper salt. My sister now makes the vegetables in the food processor and she does it ahead as well and freezes it in zip locks. She give us a frozen bag so we can bake it on Thanksgiving Day. Nothing like it. Always reminds us of my dad. He always had Thanksgiving dinner in July. He'd say it was a practice dinner. I sure miss him. Your dressing making brought back old memories. Thank you. Love you guys. Blessing to you and your Farm.
