- This challenge is simple. Kill as many Village Ganado as possible with HUNK using the neckbreaker in a single combo.
I first uploaded this challenge in June 2009 on the Wii version, obtaining 87 kills. I next uploaded it in September 2006 on the PS4 version, obtaining 84 kills. I attempted it again in March 2022 with the PC HD Project version and obtained 100 kills. The last time I performed this challenge was May 2022 on the VR version, obtaining 149 kills.
To date, this challenge has been viewed on the channel over 344,000 times!
Now, it is the dawn of a new era of Resident Evil 4 Mercenaries, and time for another beautiful, head turning ballet from HUNK in Resident Evil 4 Remake!

I genuinely cannot play Mercenaries without playing the OG themes in the background, they're too good.
I like the o.g. Mercs themes an absolute ton, but HUNK's is so good in the Remake as well, the dual remix of Looming Dread and Fearful is no Word for It hits so damn different. Ada and Luis's themes are also very good.
After 6 years, now he's back again with another neck breaker ballet.
I actually did 2 others more recently, in the HD Project and VR ports ^^
I absolutely love his little finger wiggle after he snaps their necks as if he was appreciating his own handywork

I'll work on them if they're something people feel they need. This Mercs is pretty forgiving though.
@@Sarcosuchasyeah I accidentally S ranked village my first playthrough with Leon and was a little disappointed. I've never been too particularly good at Mercs mode especially in RE4 '05 and used your guides religiously. I was hoping for a similar experience with it being super challenging but not really, even I can do it.

50/50. Some aspects are easier in the sense it's more forgiving, while others are actually harder than the original.

Damn, think I counted about 82 ballet partners for Hunk, shame none of them stick around for the whole dance. They're practically begging for crit rates or their dynamite buddies to put them out of their misery 😂

If me and 3 of my buddies swung at a dude, only to whiff and see he somehow teleported behind our group while simultaneously grabbing good ole Diego and readjusting his spinal structure like the boogeyman, idk man, think we should just call it a day and give the dude his extraction point 😂

With HUNK everything is pretty much easy mode and it's nice they left that in; in fact I'd say they even buffed him when compared to the original given loadouts (also all bosses this time can be susceptible to takedowns). If you have basic knowledge of the game, getting at least an S rank just feels as natural as breathing, all one has to do is not get greedy and use Mayhem Mode accordingly pretty much. Seems like Capcom just wanted to make him fun rather than challenging to use.
Bit disappointed that Wesker's not there (for now at least), but Luis as a playable character is cool and unique enough in his own right - just not as fun to play as Wesker in my opinion. Then again, I never really wanted a simple re-hash either.
Garradores can't be killed with the neckbreaker, so he still has to kill them normally
@@Sarcosuchas Yeah I should have added a "just about" there, but it's the reason I mentioned using mayhem mode accordingly (also helps with crowd control but HUNK has always seemingly been designed for thinning out a horde anyway and as such I don't find that to be the main advantage with his ability). Even still, more enemies can recieve the neckbreaker; Id est, the brutes which replace J.J. now.
He didn’t neck break all of ‘‘em but good effort. It’s kinda hard to neck break considering smg does more then that tmp.
Random crit chance can't be avoided, much like the original
I managed to get 120 neck breaks on village but those Crit shots are so randomn.

I feel like Resident Evíl Revelations Raid mode is the closet I can think of that is a perfect sweet spot .

@@Sarcosuchas El varillazo y dinamitarse el solo es algo divertido, la verdadera lástima de Luis es que no tiene cadencia alguna. El rifle de caza y la Red 9 son demasiado lentas. Si le hubieran dado la Broken Butterfly o la Skull Shaker lo hubieran balanceado más, así como está es el más malo de los personajes.

@@Sarcosuchas Claro que no, pero si me da lástima que del RE4 original todos queríamos a Luis en Mercenaries, hoy lo meten en el Remake y de lejos le dan el peor arsenal.
Leon le botás la SG-09 y la Riot Gun y los enemigos solo te botan munición para la Stingray que mata de uno o dos disparos y tiene mira.
Krauser tiene el cuchillo y los brazos mutantes, es el más rápido de todos y tiene la mayor cantidad de vida.
Hunk tiene el rompecuellos que funciona en 4/5 élites y munición infinita con su Mayhem.
Luis tiene la Red 9, muy buena pero sin el stock, el rifle de caza que es muy bueno pero lo recarga de una en una bala, y de colmo la dinamita no siempre mata a los élites de una sola explosión, a veces hasta aguantan dos.
Necesita que le mejoren su arsenal o que le den algo más. Lo encuentro divertido pero sí ocupa algo más.
Is it me or this Mercenaries is a lot easier than the original one?, last day i actually managed to get a million points with Krauser and Leon, whereas in the original i could barely get to the 60k xd
It's definitely more forgiving for points, but the lack of i-frames means things can go wrong far quicker
