To tell the truth, I wasn't a fan of MediaTek at all and I was only sticking with high end Snapdragon chipsets most of the time, but I'm so happy to see that MediaTek is taking their steps into the right direction meaning I'll be so happy if I get a phone with a Dimensity 9300, so hands down to MediaTek for their excellent job 👏, Still I'm a huge fan of Snapdragon 😂

I can argue, it's all the same when it comes to long-term performance following official software developments. All silicon will slow down because it won't be able to keep up with dynamic software development, everything is like that. It's not just about mediatek or Qualcomm.

I have one iqoo 9s pro I'm telling you it's unoptimized as hell. Like I get it it's a new chip but it even have lag and frame drops in simple games like mlbb and codm. Too much power and the phone and chip is unable to utilize it properly.

@@theflysavage4879 It's not necessarily the truths. The best camera phone today, the Oppo Find X7 Pro, runs Dimensity 9300, while Samsung S24 Ultra runs Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, and takes far worse shots than the Oppo.
vivo x100 has an D9300 yet their camera samples are on par or even better than Oppo Find X7U or Xiaomi 14U with 8g3. Note that the camera hardware are mostly the same. OEM optimization and post processing are important too.

And I am not judging any mobile here,, Iqoo 12 is really good mobile,, if you need an all rounder and with performance your priority then Iqoo 12 is theeee best mobile at very less price, I could choose iqoo 12 over oneplus 12 as well.. And there is no comparison between Samsung S24 ultra and Iqoo 12,, Surely Samsung S24 Ultra will win in all aspects. Everything comes with a price tag ,, S24 ultra gives you all with future proof and one can have blind trust on Samsung quality.

Although on paper medi tek 9300 has the more numbers but in actual 8 gen 3 has low power consumption; better thermal stability and better cpu throttle than mediatek 9300
ON paper Qv8.3 is also better as is going to make the Windows PC trasnition to ARM, but also it makes AMD x64 cpu + RDNA3 totally obsolete and comaptible... Sony needs to say goodbye to AMD the same as Microsoft and Windows, but MEdiatek it also beats with an all ARM design AMD and INTEL, fan less mobile SoC beats stock Meteor Lake and Hawk Point APUs at 90W with big cooler... and is way cheaper... we may want to buy Q better than M3 for windows or games and laptops and portable handheld pcs, but we probably will end buying MEdiatek... both are just in another league of their own... need to make the jump to laptop and desktop with ARM Windows/Linux the sooner the better... SteamDeck with Mediatek 9300 will fly...Qv8.3 also and even fit better AMD gpu optimization with little to none changes... on the long run not having PC legacy compatibility may turn the real architecture perfromance and efficiency lead to MEdiatek, they are no joke at all... but sw side may be little problem if they don't start hiring Sony Studio and other big tech comapnies lay offs to write code apis and drivers at 1000% speed.... in 5 years we won't remember or need any INtel or AMD product...

If you take not only the numbers in the benchmarks, but the real experience of using it here SN 8gen3 it shows itself much, much better. Of course, I understand that SnapDragon loses in terms of pure power, but it is much more stable, so it will behave better in games. Personally, I would prefer stability and everything else well-developed than just a pure small power gain. And by the way, take as an example not IQOO 12, and Samsung S24 ultra. Although in this case you would hardly have posted this video)))

Really mediatek is a great chip but let's be honest about the compatibility with the applications? Benchmark is not everything, when it comes to real use i.e. daily use games, photos and everyday use we see that in reality no one really is very important for mediatek to open an emulator and will realize it quickly.
The Dragon is better because it is more energy efficient than Dimensity; smartphones on Dimensity run out faster due to the lack of energy-efficient cores! Also the GPS is not as accurate as the Dragon!

The processor / SoC doesn't matter. This is simply how smartphone manufacturers can optimize the kernel with the SoC/Processor.
Such as the Dimensity 6080, Itel P55 5G with 6GB Ram and Tecno Pova 5 Pro with 8GB Ram. Both have the same Processor / SoC but the P55 5G wins in all speed tests.
Sometimes smartphone manufacturers limit performance to save more battery life and extend the life of their smartphones.
