- Do you miss eating waffles in lock down as much as I do? But can’t make them at home because you have a waffle maker?
Not any more! I’m excited to share an eggless, no waffle maker recipe that is extremely simple to make!
These may not look like regular waffles, but have a crispy caramelised exterior just like waffles 🧇
You can use this eggless batter to make waffles in a waffle maker too!! I use it all the time

Milk 1+1/2 cup
Lemon juice 2 Tbl
Melted Butter 1/4 cup * 2 tbsp
Vanilla 1 tsp
All purpose flour/ maida 2 cups
Baking powder 4 tsp
Cinnamon powder 1 Tsp ( add less if you’re not a fan or skip completely)
Sugar 1/4 cup
Hot water 1/3 cup
Close the grilled and cook on each side for 5-7 minutes until you get crisp golden brown crust

What a lie. The sugar measurements in this recipe are all off. Doesn't cook well in the sandwich griller too. End result was a pancake with checks. Please ensure all your measurements are consistent before uploading a video @Shivesh.

Woah this recipe is pretty awesome! I substituted the all purpose flour with whole wheat flour, used 1/3rd of the butter, 1/2 the amount of sugar and just 2-3 drops oil (I prefer it not being too sweet). I used to make both waffles and pancakes and both came out really really tasty, the waffle was crispy and pancakes were deliciously soft. Thanks so much for this recipe!

I find sometimes I have to turn up the heat a bit.
I have the same problem. It doesn't turn crispy at all. And there's no temperature control for a grill. Not a good idea for everyone to try this out.

Made this today !! It was great even though it wasn't as crispy (maybe I took them out too soon). I added more hot water than required, maybe because I used atta instead of maida. Thank you for this great recipe 😋 I recommend everyone to give this easy recipe at least one try. 😁

My waffles were a fail. They had a bitter after taste and and were uncooked from inside even after prolonged heating :(

No waffle iron, Brings out a griddle that can be closed. I'm pretty sure that's harder to get than a waffle iron.

Might work with a cast iron frying pan and a clean and oiled cast iron pot lid that fits into the pan. Won’t give that crosshatch pattern, but should give crispy surfaces. Can’t test it at the moment because we’re out of milk, but I’ll let you know if I do try it later.
