I love the little ka-woosh when it connects.
Yeh, that is 117 LEDs in the inner ring, may later design has a separate 117 LEDs showing inside the gate just for the kawoosh, but JLCPCB seem to be having trouble handling an order with 498 LEDs on a PCB.
I would love to see this on a repository like Printables or even on Instructables. Hint, hint, wink, wink!!
Very well done/assembled for such a compact build! Especially with such a high led count.
My latest design is up to 507 LEDs now (and 507 caps). But was machine placement in China - no way I was even going to try that by hand.
Just how the hell are you going to walk through that small portal.
What is this? A Stargate for ants? The portal has to be at least… three times bigger than this!
absolutely fantastic. love it.
Cool. I'm gonna put the other star gate on the kitchen counter, next to the Doritos.
I'm waiting for someone to turn the stargate into an actual communication system
Nice would love to see if you can use some sort of printer to use more black plastic as Gates were obsideon black. But clear where needed?
haha so cool
Just curious if you would ever want to make one to sell? I would love to have one of those on my desktop.
Not ruling it out.
@@TheRealRevK if you decide to sell them let me know, I would definitely be interested
If only they're was a shuttle to go with it ....
Well, that rather puts WLED to shame!
