- It has been ten years since Audi launched their line of luxury coupes. Since then, rivals have launched fierce competition, particularly in the form of the BMW 4 Series and Mercedes C Class Coupe.
For the latest S5, Audi have debuted a brand new engine in the form of a single turbo, 3.0L V6. They've also designed and built one of the best interiors we've encountered in a car.
In this video, we take the new S5 to one of our favourite coastal roads outside of Cape Town, to really stretch its legs.

I know I'm late, but I bought this car in America (Left Hand Drive) July of 2018. Brilliant Black, Red Interior, and I go to sleep at night dreaming about the next time I'll allow myself to take it out again.
Named her after an old flame cause every time I get inside it feels so good!!
I watched every available video featuring the new Audi S5 before buying the Sportback version but this was the video I always returned to. Very arty and informative really enjoyed the balance. The presenters ‘just got out of bed look???’ no, I don’t think so more a laid back yet factual approach. Ciro de Siena is cool calm and collected, one of the best. Keep up the excellent reviews 👍🏻

Ciro is really one of the best motor presenters and this is my absolute dream car.
I spent a long time deciding between this and the BMW and Merc rivals. Got this in the end in Manhattan grey with grey interior. A fewmonths down the line and I still walk around it admiring it and the driving experience is perfect- sporty and refined

I’ve got a 2018 S5 also in the Myros black. Minus the red seats thankfully. Got rid of a bit of the chrome ( windows, badges etc) so looks even better, without going OTT. Absolutely love it.

By the look, yes that's the super crafted handsome car as Audi has been doing. By the performance, a 4.7 sec to reach 100 km for 260s kilowatt with 500 Nm is excellent

Great video! Quick question, whats the difference in driving feel between driving in D dynamic or S comfort?
Dynamic makes the care more responsive, it stiffens up the steering & suspension, and causes the gear box to change up at higher revives. Whereas comfort mode softens up everything for cruising. Or put another way, dynamic: On my own on a winding road, comfort: On the motorway with my wife in the passenger seat!
@@timl1481 yes but in the Audi there are two settings. You can change the drive from dynamic to comfort. However you by pulling on the gear shift you can change the car from D to S. Therefore one can drive in dynamic mode but be in D drive or could be in comfort mode but be in S drive. I’m confused about the difference between the 2 modes

Mercedes and Bmw used to be the benchmark, and very little could separate the two... now though, the Audi range is showing them flames, especially that RS department. Beemer and Mercedes need to pull up their socks.

1:30 There are DSG transmissions on vehicles with more TQ than the S4/S5. The ZF8 choice has nothing to do with to much torque. It’s about drive-ability/weight/cost (initial&maintenance)/almost indistinguishable performance loss

These things are bought on looks and engine. Unfortunately, this s5 is not an improvement over the previous v8 s5 (b4 the upgrade) in either dept.
Zf still better than dsg , another audi that proves the dsg is a gimmick as this and the RS6 work better with ZF.

Once you drive an Audi and experience how in control you feel and the connection between driver and this car, you will not be satisfied driving anything else. This is my second Audi and I plan to own my third Audi very soon. See you all on the open roads.

It's going to take a while getting used to the front..! I've had the past 2 gens and those look much more aggressive in my opinion compared to this gen!

Alchemist124860 The speed is displayed by digital numbers in the centre of the rev counter and being a fully digital display you can configure it in several different ways including the traditional twin dials
