You need to start the second section at measure 65. Mesure 64 is already in the previous import.

Thank you for your tutorial. What Roland should do is have a song mode for people who want to record in a linear way. Otherwise, just don’t set a limit on the amount of measures. It should be seamless to import and export .smf while using GM, general midi, which is the whole intention of midi so it would be a universal music data language. Thanks again for your efforts!

If you're gonna record into the daw, why not just trigger the midi from the daw and change your instruments on the fantom?

Hello. Have you had any issues wanting to mix/set levels on Zones with imported Midi files? Anytime I want to set levels and write the scene, no matter what I do, the level on imported midi patterns reverts to whatever it was originally. I can’t believe that Roland dont have a way to mix imported files and be able to save the levels. Have you found a way around this?
😊🌻🌻🌻🌻 Thanks a ton for sparing time and watching my video .Actually best possible option is to record all tracks of an imported midi file into Digital audio interface like i did in logic in wav file format and then did a mix . Roland has really failed its users with this high tech workstation called fantom .I am still unable to wrap my head around it
I am just starting with the Fantom 06, and I will update once I have imported the midi files I made for my Modx 6 , initially. But wanted to mention that when I did the same for the Modx, I ran into the issue that both program changes and volume, pan etc. were actually programmed into the Midi file, so not a problem of the Fantom, and you might eant to delete the volume information in the Midi file. I did that with Logic pro in my Macbook. It resolved the problem fully.
I think you have to start the second pattern at measure 65. It has to start after the first one ends.
This is why I'm hesitant to get the Fantom. I have a lot of sequences to import and this would take forever because the flagship Fantom has a maximum pattern length of just 32 measures. Why couldn't a linear sequencer have been included? All the Fantom models are either over or very close to $4 so it was already a little late to be worrying about cutting costs.

@@carltheriot8107 yes it has 64 measures but if the composition has more than 64 measures then it has to be done in multiple parts . So first part 0-64 A, second part 65-130 B and so on. Its a strange limitation and i wonder why roland opted for this, because its a serious limitation as the fantom users will also be editing existing midi files with new high quality samples of fantom now but its a hassle if the composition is more than 64 measures.
In the former Roland FA-06 you could "Export Midi Song" from the keyboard to the PC in order finish it in the PC using VST sounds and also the FA track sounds. Is that no longer supported in Fantom-06?

Hi sir, I have a question. I have converted midi in fantom 06 in my hand through smf player, everything is converted, but the volume level is reduced when I write the scene and load it again, the volume level changes. Is there any solution for that? If the volume is set, it does not come the same

I think tou will have to adjust volume and of each instrument from fantom’s equaliser by selecting specific banks and zones .
