- I love to make quilts for children and this video shows a way to make an "I-spy" type of quilt using novelty and brightly coloured 5" squares, and some dots and stripes too!

In my opinion, this is BY FAR the best disappearing 9-patch video on CZcams!!! I like that all of your 5" squares are different in pattern and color. I also like that you turned the sewn & cut pieces in different directions for a very scrappy block look. I really like all the cheery colors of your fabrics, although the prints were made for children, they are bright and beautiful. It was very nice to see what sashing would look like around the blocks also. That was an unexpected bonus! I've been wanting to know what a scrappy disappearing 9-patch block would look like without having to cut up a lot of fabric to find out, but your video has really done a wonderful job showing so many unconventional combinations! Thank you so very, very much!!!
What a great idea for a childrens quilt, I have 4 grandchildren and will be making these for them, Can't wait to begin! Your videos are very clear and so instructive..Cheers
Oh, I REALLY like the way you sewed that nine patch together before you cut it! What a great idea for keeping everything it order! :-)
I would have never figured out where to start quilting. Your novelty fabrics tutorial really helped me to get started. Thank you
I have hundreds of five inch squares given to me. I had no idea what I was going to do with them all, now I am excited to use this method for my fabric . Love this !
Watching the Quilt Videos on CZcams are so much better than reading a pattern or book. It's more personal and seems to make more sense to me. I really like the Gourmet Quilter.
Carolyn J Bradley ...I learned to quilt in you tube, and I watch them all the time. I have my favorite ones.

Wow. I was so bummed when you started to cut the first 9 patch, I was like, "no! don't cut it!" But then you turned them around and a HUGE LIGHTBULB came on. A-MAZ-ING. Thank you! How fun!
I work with children 0 - 5 and this quilt would be a perfect match for our day! I'll be using this idea to make us some I-Spy fabric books. Thanks for a wonderful idea!
As a beginner, I really appreciate you being so detailed. You make it look so easy! Thank you so much for your lovely tutorials.
Hi I'm going to try and change the color scheme for a great granddaughter coming in
6 months or so, thank you so much for your friendly instructions for us. Even non sewers can listen, shop and then go home and create, watching your videos to assemble the finished project. You have lots to pick from. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us, and encouraging us all the while. Giving us lots of choices to pick from, colors, styles fabrics, etc. are you back from your boat trip with your husband? Hope you enjoyed it very much.
Looks awesome. A lot of seams to match, but they should "nest" properly. Children would love it!
I love your Quilting Videos here on CZcams. You do a fantastic job of explaining and showing so many options. I love the colors on this and all your quilts.
Thank you so much for this tutorial! As a beginner, I tend to get awfully messed up while creating my 9-patches, because sticking to this scant 1/4 inch seam already eats up plenty of my focus. It’s just a brilliant idea to leave those squares attached to each other, after chainpiecing the first row. That’s ging to help me a lot not getting confused all the time. I also love the multiple possibilities these blocks offer, in finding your very own design. Very helpful lesson. Regards from Germany
Your videos are content rich and unique for the area I am located. I really appreciate that you take the time to make them so long too because I watch them when I quilt.
I love the Gourmet Quilter!! I just found her on CZcams and her instructions are right on and very easy to follow. Her blocks are simple, yet can be made stylish. I think she is one teacher I can really learn from! Thank you for your easy teaching manner.
I always come back to your videos for putting together quilts and such. I watch tons of videos for quilting and sewing .....searching for a way to do something and then all of a sudden I remember you and find exactly what I am looking for! I didn't realize how long ago this one and a few others are! You are so good at explaining and showing easy ways of doing things!
I really enjoy your Quilt Videos, you are very clear and concise and the instructions are made for any sewing level. I look forward to watching all your work as you are much better than a book or pattern! Thanks for giving it your all.
I had a pkg of charm squares that I didn’t really like, they were gifted to me, I also had a pkg of white on white charms, so I made these disappearing nine patches. I liked how they came out and found the sashing idea a big help on how to build it up. Thank you I like your videos very much
