      Yeah.That pretty much sums it up.I’d use the word ego in its Freudian sense though.Joshua got into this at an age where you don’t really know yourself,it’s I bit of a crisis in identity now.Young boxers coming through the amateurs learn about losing as well as winning and boxing is part of who they are.When you’re 18 and you get into it that’s the age where you find who you are.When you suddenly take a rocket ship to stardom who knows what that means you are.Wilder and foreman with similar late starts and short amateur careers that got by on KO power didn’t cope well with their first defeats either

When you grow up always being the biggest kid in the playground and often winning without fighting just through sheer intimidation means you’ve not got anywhere to go when it goes against you. Having said that I don’t think Joshua‘s mentality being different would’ve changed the first thing against Usyk.

      Sometimes as a means to help try and steal a victory, and other times just as a precautionary measure to retain the title or cleaner record because it’s important for future business.

    There's no excuse to act like that. They're "professional" boxers, hence they should conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times. These fighters represent the highest standards of boxing, they're at the very top, the elite of the elite. It's their obligation to preserve the high standards to which they belong to and embody it at all times. And sportsmanship. A true sportsman wouldn't act that way in the face of defeat and pressure, but an entitled diva will. A real one will take accountability of the loss in a respectable manner and move forward.

    • @TavaraTheLaughingLion
      @TavaraTheLaughingLion Před rokem +1

      A lot of 'great sportsmen' lost the plot to the point they would be considered unprofessional. he's also human, not everyone's perfect, and he's taken his previous 2 losses in stride like he should've. If you don't understand the concept of human emotions, societal and peer pressure, bro you're one kind of a fked up guy, more than AJ considering he's in the sport he's in. Plus he's not some coldhearted stonefaced guy that's not gonna feel the actions of his own repercussions, so there's some sort of disconnect here. You can condemn his actions, but to be unable to relate to him is just weird, like it's not hard imagine blowing the fuse when you keep things bottled up, I don't think you have the empathy to be around ppl to be honest.

    • @teardama7320
      @teardama7320 Před rokem +1

      @@TavaraTheLaughingLion There's a better and more respectable way to release frustration. It doesn't need to be in a chaotic manner, in Joshua's case - throwing a tantrum. He could've handled the L like a real champion. No shoving, tantrums, or throwing belts outside the ring. Imagine if he didn't do all those things and just let his frustrations all out during the post fight conference, with grace and his head help up high, even he cries, he'd be more respectable and maybe admirable even. There are better ways of doing things. With the status and caliber that joshua has, it is unbecoming to act that way.

And then trying to go for an older man that simply said something minor…. No shame … had no one been there would he have hit an old man?? That to me made me lose all respect for him because he chose his life … no one told him to become a star … if you can’t handle the heat don’t get near the fire … I can’t fully explain the rest it’s too much…. But he is a good fighter no hate …. But AJ looks dumb saying he had too much on his plate until now that he lost….
