NOTE: Please make sure the firmware of your printer has Ethernet/IP. You need to get the firmware from your vendor. Then use Zdownloader at 03:15 in the video to flash the printer to enable the Ethernet/IP functionality.
Also it is highly recommended you need to read carefully about the "NETWORK CONNECT FOR AUTOMATION Developer Guide".pdf

Excellent presentation, thank you. Any idea how to interface an Allen-Bradley CompactLogix to a Zebra Model ZE500? This model has ethernet capability but not the Network Connect protocol. I have tried this method and the PLC does not recognize the printer on the LinkOS device. Thanks in advance!
Thanks for watching, I am not quite familiar with ZE500. But 100% you have to contact your local Zebra to purchase a firmware with EthernetIp, and use Zloader to load the firmware and enable the EIP. then you can reference my video the configuration.

Sorry I never used RS5100 barcode reader. I would recommend asking Zebra tech support.

Good day Sir, I have followed your instructions and I get the error code 16#0204 error in my ethernet tree. Using an L32E PLC and a Zebra ZD421. Network Connect AOP installed in the PLC. The error code says that the Driver could not be found at the IP address.
I can print a barcode via essential designer. Any advice
What is your printer's IP address? Did you assign the IP address to your printer? Using any IP tools such as BootP to assign IP.
Same can be communicated with Siemens S7-1500 PLC? Do we need a GSD file to be used for communication?
You need to ask Zebra local sales for the Profinet. As I know Zebra does not have Profinet interface.
i would like to know how would you print this directely from the scanner,without physically puting the values,,,i am using siemens, and i can send the bar code physically,but how do i send it from the scanner? or how to send arrays to the printer?
The PLC can play the role from Barcode reader, process the data, then send the code data to printer.
Very well instruction. I am using Zebra ZT410 to communicate Ethernet/IP with CompactLogix L32. I follow your instruction and I already done for 5 filed numbers (FN) and it printed out 5 different barcodes; it works well. I now need to add 2 more FN. Should I keep "XF_Field1" thru "XF_Field5" and add 2 more field number in "RawParseData"? Please Help. Thanks in advance.
I have been a long time without touching this printer system, and hard to answer your question. But I would recommend reading the 'developer manual' I noticed in the video and read it carefully. Or contact the printer support.

Please find the 17:20, once you download Add-on Profile from Zebra and install it. Then Allen Brady software will find the EDS file.

There is no hidden procedure, and that is all the steps you need to go through. I would recommend you read the details from the manual "NETWORK CONNECT FOR AUOTMATION Developer Guide" pdf. You could send me the screenshot about the fault code. You can find my email from the beginning of the video.

From my understanding, the Zebra doest have Profinet adapter. Alternately, you can investigate with Zebra asking if they have RS232 serial method to communicate.

Micro 820 can not do it because it can not run as Ethernet/IP scanner Master.
