Firstbourne is my personal favorite Ninjago dragon IMO. I had the most fun when building Firstbourne and the size just blows me away
I think The Water Dragon from Seabound should've been on this list. I love how smooth it is, and all the little fins on the tail and back legs.
It does have the wagging tail, but it stays more straight due to it's front being taller.
And the head is just two molded pieces connected by Battle droid arms. It's one of, of not *the* largest dragons, and a bulkier head like on Lloyd's legendary dradon would've worked way better.
The wing flapping is also kinda weak...
But the body is just too perfect. I'd put it somewhere about number 7 on this list.
IMO the fusion dragon from season 7 should be here. I only have seen it once at a friend but the design is just gorgeous :D
Legendary Dragon at 1st... W opinion.
Also, I think if you add more more pieces or making the heads brick built on the Golden Ultra Dragon, The heads may keep falling down due to weight of having more pieces

Imo, Wu's battle dragon from master of the mountain deserves a mention. The amount of detail they packed into this small dragon is astounding, it's so good looking.

Totally agree with the number 1 choice! I think the head was done perfectly and prefer this wing function to something like the water dragon.
...you know what this video has told me? The 100% perfect dragon is yet to come.

As someone who owns half of the top 10 dragons here, I think Firstbourne is better than all of the ones I own (Including Lloyds Dragon). The only dragon I could imagine beating it out is the skull sorcerer's dragon.
Yea the Skull sorcerer dragon is the only lego dragon I ever picked up to this day. I didnt even care about how the articulation would be. When I saw the aesthetic design of it I just had to get it. It looked so cool!
So personally, I just threw the legacy ultra-dragon's wings on the golden ultra-dragon, and added a bit more green back in and I think it looks really great!
I have the legendary dragon because it's the closer one of the perfect one also i like lloyd. The top is a very good top in general, very honest explanation.
Fire Dragon Attack will always be my favourite set

Personally I think the mechdragon from rebooted is the best villain dragon. It has a prison call. Nindroid gliders. A cannon. Stickers that looked technical. Its toes and chest were more geometric. A very good color choice. One of the best in my opinion

Loyd Legendary Dragon is simply beautiful standalone dragon, you can easily take off seat to make it appear as "wild dragon", which is why I bought it too represent one of dragons in my fantasy world that isn't connected to Ninjago
(2nd set I really like is Crystal King, it just looks so great on its own)
Awesome list. Interestingly, my favorite dragon was not on there at all, which is the Ice Dragon from the castle of the forsaken emperor set. I truly feel like that is a near perfect dragon (wyvern?). It has a great design, cool color scheme, you can get it into pretty much any pose you would want, and it's not too large to where it becomes difficult to handle. I know it's only a side build to the castle, but I think it's just fantastic as is.
While I don't own it myself, I'm getting the same vibes from the NRG dragon that you showed here, so maybe that one's even better. That being said, I agree that the green ninja mech dragon is a really great one. As much as I love normal ninjago, those movie sets reached some amazing heights.

Just so you all know the green ninja mech dragon is modified by him a bit. The large spikes are not actually in the build

There is going to be a new Zane dragon in January for a higher price tag. I really hope it is like the Lloyd dragon, but with more features, since they are both core dragons.

I think Jay's cyber dragon should be on this list. I have almost every ninjago dragon including the reindeer one, imo Jay's cyber dragon looks AMAZING. Most underrated ninjago set imo. My top 5 are-5: Stormbringer 4: OG Lightning dragon 3: Jay's Cyber dragon 2: Morro's dragon 1: Skull Sourcerers dragon

I don't think Lloyd's Legendary Dragon is the best due to the shaping of the body, but I can agree the legs and head are among the best we've gotten

It was super cool getting it IRL! I just feel that that’s one set that actually did need to be bigger - and the wings being super spindly definitely didn’t help. Headsculpt was cool, but everything else was fairly standard
Hey Chris..... Just my opinion but I really did like the finale of crystallized. Tommy wanted to leave it in a positive place, not negative or bitter. I thought it was a rather hopeful ending.
As for the subject of this video ( dragons ) it is stunning to see how far the designs have come and how they've just gotten better with modern designs. That being said some of the original 2011 dragons still hold up today.

I’ve got the OG Golden Dragon, OG Ultra Dragon, Nindroid Mech Dragon, the earth dragon from Hunted, the ice emperor’s dragon, and stormbringer. I’m looking at buying the legacy Kai dragon
Lloyds legendary dragon is my favorite, I want that 2011 Jay's dragon but I bet thats an expensive set now.
i parted out the pieces for it on bricklink and it cost me about $90. way better than the whole set new for over $200
So what exactly is going on with Ninjago? Is it stopping altogether or just a show reboot or a theme reboot?
The show in its current form is ending. Next summer, there will be a new series in the same continuity, but featuring different characters and likely in a different time period. Every January, the original ninja heroes will continue to receive sets in non-canon core lines, to preserve the main heroes while allowing the storyline with new heroes to continue in the summer.
Some of these are wyverns and some are dragons
Has the green ninja mech dragon been modified? I don't remember seeing those bigger spikes and the tail-like piece

Personally I don’t think the set is as good as the 10 here! The wings are a little awkward in their function and IMO it didn’t bring really anything new to the table compared to these. Still a good set, but fairly average IMO
But what I really like about the Firstbourne is that she looks actually majestic if you just look at her. But buildingwise I agree with you, nothing to special, and I also don’t really like the nose

It’s brand new! I put out a video on every single Ninjago dragon ever that was a lot longer and more in depth but I said similar stuff about the dragons featured, so you may be thinking of that?

I prefer the molded heads over the brick heads and brick wings over the vinyl/fabric wings. Just my personal preferences
