Luckily I also have 2 new pro's to add to the list, and some alternatives to pick up if you don't like the Envision.

I wish more companies would add stick tension like the Elite 2
The elite stick tension is bursting with stick drift.
The stick tension makes stick drift worse, my scuf controller can be put at a way lower deadzone than my elite 2 without getting drift
Regular potentiometer stick modules actually require calibration or pre-sorting too. All potentiometers have slightly different resistance values, that's why when you resolder new units you can still get stick drift if resistance values are slightly off compared to stock ones. So every pad is calibrated at the factory to their resistance values written to their firmware.
You can do this in windows.

Played with mine for the first time yesterday and it really is a great game pad. I think the potential of this controller is much more than the common consumer would use. Setting macros and binding keyboard inputs is somthing I'm gonna test but my reflex pro is probably just fine lol Congrats on the 100k subs. I can say I always look forward to your content.

Wanted to say thanks for the Full Mapping Support section. From what I saw on SCUF's website it wasn't actually clear on if you could map all of the buttons on the controller to whatever you want, and I actually got the impression that you could remap only the G buttons to keyboard keys. This vid clearly shows otherwise.

The way I see it this controller checks everybox and then some for a lot less than the PS4/5 or xbox variation FPS pro version controller that Scuf offers and has a destinct advantage with the programable buttons being able to be bind to key strokes and more. All the pros you mention are exactly why this controller is amazing and all the cones dont affect me. Im a PC only gamer and only play FPS titles. I dont care about gyro, I dont care about playing sony ps games on pc, in not concerned with stick drift potential. Scuf made this controller for a specific market and I think they knocked it out of the park.
Congrats on 100k subs. One thing I wish Scuf offered, especially on this model, is tension sticks. A thumbstick resistance option, akin to what evil & battle beaver offer.

I believe they are looking to add more controller customization down the road, but just wanted ti go ahead and release the base model now. Maybe that just means cosmetics, but tension seems possible

Congrats on 100k dude. Just a quick note that I think others have mentioned as well. Picked this bad boy up yesterday and iCue crashes a lot. Played for 2 hours and had 3 crashes with no notification other than being in a gunfight and suddenly my rear paddles stop working. And in 1 case my face buttons stopped working. My hope is they come out with a stabilization update soon. Other than that, this controller is great.
Thats super weird. Even if the app isn't open you should still have the onboard profile storage with all your rear button bindings (like how console controllers that dont use app allow you to keep profiles on the controller to switch on the fly). I will keep an eye and ear out for the issue you mentioned because that sounds frustrating as hell.
That's a good point. It's 100% possible that because I set it up in Mappings I'm doing something wrong. I will investigate further. @@GamerHeavenOfficial

Thanks@@BrooklynSkateUSA. So I am definitely to blame on this one as there is a hardware mapping setting as well as regular mapping (like keybinds to back paddles). That fixed most of my issues doing all hardware mapping. Look forward to the update though, that's great.

For anyone who doesn't know you can remap the A and B buttons, you just have to remap them to something else first. They don't let you not have them mapped but you can put them wherever you want. I think this is a bigger pro for the Envision than people give it credit for, you can remap any button to basically any function, PC or Controller and don't need to have any wasted/double bound buttons. I setup scroll wheel reset and dedicated inventory buttons using kb binds for Fort, all in the included software which is pretty nice.

when it comes to gyro, another thing to mention is it allows for PC players on the controller to play FPS games that have no aim assist. in a game like CS2, many mainly consoles players would be unable to adapt to the accuracy of a mouse without it if it was ported, but gyro players can pop heads with no problem, I mean in the gyro config you said was the most common, the gyro is basically like using a mouse as a form of aim assist.
as I said in the comments of the last video, Solarlight was able to frag out in a TF2 tournament with gyro (though his set-up was more advanced than average, using tools like flick-stick and gyro-ratcheting to amp gyro to be even better), which is insane compared to console pros that would feel totally outgunned in even a console fps without aim assist. Especially cause tf2 is almost as demanding as a game like Quake.
Also, the touchpad can be bound to functions in games that are not able to be bound on a standard pad, useful in many more PC-oriented games.
Don't mind me, I'm just boosting this comment a bit.
I hate the fact CS2 doesn’t have controller support, I can’t use MnK I tried, it would be so great if they could add controllers only versions to games where the current players would complain about aim assist, separate games within the game is the answer.

Congrats on 100k! TBH, I just want an Elite series with 1 ms delay and less stick drift, had stick drift on all three of my elite 2's. The envision seems dope af though and I may choose it even if an Elite Series 3 drops. As a strictly PC player who hasn't tried either, not sure who has the edge ;] the dual sense edge or the envision but I'm super excited because it seems like companies are listening!

Definitely not a typical pro controller, very different niche from what you normally cover so thoroughly. Would love to know the lag testing, your opinion of how you feel the Saturn style d-pad compares to Razer’s delicious 8-way microswitched d-pad on the Wolverine pro/raion/etc.
Those “Pros” are a lie and a scam. It’s literally the same plastic junk with loose wobbly buttons and same exact shell as the earlier models, but with analog sticks jammed in with no additional design work.

I was thinking about buying this pad, but I found out that it does not have a gyroscope, and now I know that I will definitely not buy it. It's a pity because it seems to be very good. For me, its biggest drawback is the lack of a gyroscope

I think itd be cool for you to give gyro aiming a really good try. The best way to do it on PC (through Steam Input or rewasd) is to have the gyro emulate mouse input when pulling on the left trigger (or whatever you use for ADS).
Not every game supports "mixed input" of gamepad and mouse inputs, but quite a lot do and once you get the hang of it you can be unbelievably accurate and you wont have to rely on aim assist ❤
Firstly I’m obsessed with your channel I’ve been binge watching all your reviews trying to get the best controller for me. I’m a pc player and play Apex primarily so I want a controller with comfortable rear paddles, responsive sticks, and low input lag. I was hoping this would be it! I already have an elite s2 with massive stick drift, and I play on a razer raiju, which I love but it’s a bit beat up. I’m going to try the flydigi. Would you consider doing a vid on the best controller for competitive shooters specifically? Love the content!
That's awesome to hear Gavin, and yes I will make that video. But to not waste your time if you're in the entry level I would say the gamesir g7, if you're in the mid level fly Digi Vader 3, and if you're in the high end a hyper signature , or Aim v3

@@allansm66 fyi I decided against the hypr, the price to performance didn’t seem to stack up for me. I went with the fly digi Vader 3 pro, it arrived in a couple of weeks and I love it!

Battery life is one of the most important factors for me, it’s why I won’t even consider the Dualsense Edge. Scuff doesn’t even mention the battery life on the website so I’m assuming it’s terrible.
The battery life is actually incredible. Probably 40 hours or so.
I played wireless for about 2.5 hours and the battery life was 92%. I'm not even sure if it was 100% charged or not
Hypr released PS5 controllers with HE sticks. Mind doing a review? They also have the option to keep the rumble and speakers in the controller but mention that if you go for this option it will take longer to calibrate your controller.
I just got the Envision Pro yesterday, couldn't get the iCue Hardware Mappings to work on the paddles but still was able to use it in games without the paddles, but right after finishing Genshin Impact last night, it stopped working and I'm thinking it might be the cable because the wireless device works on all of the different USB Ports I used it in, I also tried resetting the controller but same thing, I sent a repair request on the website, hopefully it won't cost me much to get it fixed because other than the mapping difficulties and the controller dying on me after playing Genshin, I really like this controller.

OMG Up till you mention Hypr I'm regretting my decision to get the most expensive custom controller I've ever bought all because they have HE sticks, then I panic when you talk about the first batch...then I finally relax and start to enjoy my decision again when you say they corrected it and they're really good HE sticks, now...

Not to knock the Aimcontroller V3 suggestion but I owned one for like 4 months before one of the back paddles completely snapped off (probably due to lots of YY-ing) but when I contacted Aim to inform them they told me they could ship a new set of paddles but I’d have to pay like €40 for them, despite there being nothing about them not being included in the warranty. From there I got a Hypr controller and I can honestly say it’s been one of the smoothest experiences I’ve had, I really can’t knock it.
Late to this party but I have to mention it. I bought a Thrustmaster ESwap X Pro controller about 2 months ago. Within 1.5 months I encountered stick drift. Ended up returning it for a refund. It was suggested that I purchase replacement parts, but I couldn't justify that. Who's to say that the replacement parts wouldn't have started with stick drift in the same 1.5 month time period. Damn shame about that controller too. It felt great to use.
At the time of this writing, I'm looking into the Scuf Envision wired version and the Turtle Beach Stealth Ultra. I like the symmetrical style of the Scuf Envision.
I agree with a lot of this video but also the Envision was made with eSports in mind which is primarily on PC now, not games like Spiderman, Infamous or even Skyrim. I do agree there's a lot they could have done to make the controller a 10/10 but it wasn't made for the average everyday gamer. Keep the content coming I love watching these videos!

If it was made for eSports, it should have had Gyro. Fucking massive oversight to leave out THE ONE FEATURE that allows Controllers to even remotely compete on the same level as a Mouse and Keyboard. Which is THE ONE THING it's supposed to do considering it's a PC-exclusive controller, meaning you WILL be matched up against Mouse and Keyboard users.
I always fix my own stick drift by soldering on new pots or replacing the entire analog module for pennies on the dollar.
Another option is to send it to a repair shop who will replace the modules significantly cheaper than the cost of a new controller.
Like I stated, I'll stick with my Dualsense Edge because it's a GREAT pro controller 👊🏿

I didnt even know about the Envision until like last week! Im a PC or bust person and symmetrical stick layout has been my jam for awhile now. And all the extra function buttons, just really excited, hope i can get one at some point. I think this is a really good moment of competition in the gamepad space as while this is PC only, Corsair is doing controllers so much better than what i think their closest competitor does, Razer.

Out of the ~20+ controllers I have, only _one_ has has drift. The PowerA Nano. And that's *my fault* because I swapped the sticks out a lot to find out which fit the best/look best.
a PC ass PC game pad isnt a bad thing. For a PC the full button remap is huge. Im seeing many PC titles that have 'controller support' but have far more inputs than we see on a xbox controller. They are mouse/keyboard first and having more buttons to map to these extra but not critical inputs really is an upgrade for PC players.
Reddit is full of people having issues with these, mine as soon as I got it out of the box the back paddles didn't work all four of them. Then I restarted my PC and then the triggers didn't work. Finally, I got it to work as it should but it was a huge pain in the ass
I purchased this guy one day, installed icue, crashed on startup every single one of the 4 times I tried to open, tried a couple "solutions" I read on the internet, returned the piece of trash and got a dualsense edge... I'm happy now

My first thought to get this controller to work on consoles is to map all the buttons to keyboard buttons and save them onto a profile directly on the controller. Then use an adapter that can take keyboard and mouse inputs and convert them to controller inputs for whatever console you are wanting to use it on. The only issue with that is that you cant change the A and B buttons so those would technically become useless.
As for hall effect sticks I personally like them because the ones I have tried feel more responsive than analog ones. But the two main issues is that all the hall effect sticks seem to have stick jitter, based on what I have used and seen, and also there is the fact that it registers the inputs as a square rather than a circle. Which at first I didnt care and didnt see that as an issue until I watched another video explaining why that isnt good. To sum up that video the joystick should reach the max output when hitting the friction ring of the controller or just having the slights gap before reaching the edge. It usually isnt an issue if going straight up, down, left, or right since they do tend to reach the max output and hit the friction ring. But when you input diagonal directions thats where the real issue starts. Since its a square you will tend to reach the max output way before reaching the friction ring on the controller. Which can translate as having less control in diagonal inputs since it will reach max output at 60-70% before reaching the friction ring (these are random numbers just used as an example).
So I do agree now that Hall effect sticks arent the be all end all but I do also think there is a lot more potential to them. For example elecgear makes some hall effect stick for the steam deck that register as a circle rather than a square, but still have stick jitter. Also there is a guy named Jun Zeng on youtube that developed special boards to convert hall effect sticks from a square output to a round one and also calibrate them fairly easily. Currently he sell them on aliexpress for PS5/PS4 and Xbox series X/S. I have also seen someone use software to get rid of the jitter without having to apply a deadzone, unfortunately I cant find the video anymore and for all I know it probably is adding some very small deadzone to it. But I do beilieve there is potenial its just to early in its development for it to be the official killer of current analog stick with the current downsides they offer.
hey but why cant you change the a and b buttons? dosent that mean x and circle on a ps controller? also im looking for a controller too. but an xbox controller never thought of a pc one. i found an adapter that can let you play ps5 games while using another controller.
Haha Your first paragraph is genius, I'm tempted to try it out but I have no clue where my old XIM is. You can remap A and B btw, you just have to map them somewhere else before you can change them so it would make 2 of your buttons useless but you could make it dpad buttons or whatever else you wanted, a couple of the middle g buttons maybe.
Then again I haven't messed around with hardware based mapping, I think it might be more limited than using the iCUE software.
I don't have any money to buy any of this controller or the skills to play with back buttons, but this videos are entertaining so I watch them While eating
Yeah I’ll admit I bought a b550 gaming board but didn’t get the WiFi and Bluetooth option because i thought I would always play with Ethernet connected but failed to realize I would lose the Bluetooth wireless controller feature. Had to pick up the envision for having the wireless dongle

All I want to know before ibuy can I customize every button including the G buttons without using the ICUE SOFTWARE or DS4 only using "STEAM" in BIG PICTURE or PC MODE...(please note)...you must first open steam >connect controller via dongle or USB >go to settings >controller >then enable steam input for playstation and or generic controllers etc.> back to game library once done >then select a game to play but BEFORE YOU START! press the controller icon (on right) next to the play button > press view controller layout >now you should see everything you're able to configure,customize, & re-bind!👍

Have you run into the icue issue when every time you restart icue, a notification pops up and says "stored profiles do not match the hardware profiles"? I have tried everything and nothing stops this from happening.

Can you use the Envision's headphone jack while in wireless mode? the Sony controllers must be plugged in to use wired earbuds.
The one issue if found with using the envision so far is the button mappings suddenly loose configuration and I have to open up the app and back out of a game for it to re configure. It’s very odd and only happens once in a blue moon but still is a glitch they need to sort out
If it had gyro I feel it would be one of, if not the best controllers for its price.

So it seems like those G keys are no longer so special. Next Xbox update (October's) on PC, via the Xbox Accessories app, introduces keyboard bindings for the Elite and the Adaptive Controller's inputs. This also seems to go a step beyond what Scuf is doing, as you can rebind _any_ button on the Elite Series 2. Maybe this will eventually roll out to all Microsoft controllers, and hopefully all Xinput controllers beyond that. I'm not sure if it's a separate remapper, or if this is functionality utilizing the GameInput API; maybe someday Microsoft will outright offer what Steam Input offers via these kinds of updates. I also wonder what implications this has for the console side of things, especially on Gen10 where they have been looking to expand more into cloud/streaming services with the implication that there may be an Xbox OS for various lighter devices, though this keyboard mapping update may even have some implications in the current console cycle that could be a future update; considering some types of games really do need more inputs than what Xinput, or consoles in general, allow for.
I have a T4 kaleid with 0.02 or 0.2 error when rotating analog sticks with hardware tester. I'm pretty impressed with there halo sticks
