I’m so glad they had the do not try at home warnings. I was about to pull a desert and a few cars out of my pocket and try these stunts. God bless yes theory for letting people know not to try this.

Great episode, the irony is that some of this would never work in real life, for example never ever try to disarm someone with a knife just run as fast as you humanly can.
It's real life scenarios Jason and his Spy, survival alliance training teaches..proven by the CIA ..remember, he was a real spy.

Can't believe they made a show for Alex Rider. I read almost all of the books as a kid. My favorite part was always when they revealed what the new sets of gadgets did.
Nice video and all but the knife defence should be used only in life / death situation. If robber is trying to steal your money - just give it to them. Better do that than die or be in hospital for months and potentially handicapped for the rest of the life. These "knife defence" tricks won't work 99% of the time in live resistance.
As someone who has actual training for those situations, and also have been in multiple knife fights. I can assure ya'll that most of the times it won't work, especially not just a CZcams tutorial. Knife fights get ugly. And as we say, ''winner goes to the hospital and the loser goes to the morgue.''

Up close and personal with knife fighting will not leave anyone unscathed, best to escape/ evade as much as possible before giving up or trying to fight back (the last resort-- but being trained in the last resort is obviously useful in the .0001% likely situation (at least in the US)).
@@DJTheMetalheadMercenary I mean, even the best trained people KNOWS it's nasty, and w ill try to escape the situation, at least what I know from my experience. I'd always try to get away. And I almost always carry a knife for self defence, but it is last resort! And it's a way bigger chance that I'd have to use it against an animal, than another person where I currently live. Already had to defend myself from animals a few times.

@@DJTheMetalheadMercenary In my opinion knives for self defence towards other people is close to impossible. The person holding the knife has a bigger chance to get injured than the attacker. Unless you're properly trained of course.

I would love to open up a business where I showed kids these and other extremely valuable skills for use in the very unfortunate event someone tries to kidnap them. I know that when my son gets old I'd feel begged to know he has a fighting chance if some sicko tries to take him.
Definitely worth contacting Jason about that idea, or another professional (who has extensive experience stemming from Mexico and fighting the Cartels) named Ed Calderon, they're two of the top in the field offering this kind of training to civilians openly. There are many others to varying degrees of accessibility and otherwise, worth digging into if you're truly interested in and want to fully invest into that.

That is dope. Alex Rider the book series is awesome. Thanks for advertising it, I'm not sure the books were popular. I read it in 4th grade about 10 years ago. I hope the show is as good as the books, but my imagination back then was pretty interesting and I'm sure nothing will be the same.
