I forgot how many great little characterization moments there were from Bowser, Luigi, and Peach in this game. Peach just unblinkingly glowering at Mimi as she does her horrific transformation in World 8 and Bowser briefly getting all happy-eyed at seeing Peach in World 3 are some of my favorites.
New unique partners are great and all, but seeing these existing characters go on an adventure together was a lot of fun.
I pers prefer seeing characterization of characters we already know and hold dear to our hearts than original characters that we've never heard of.

I haven't play TTYD, yet, because I don't have a GameCube and I haven't played Colour Splash because I don't have a Wii U. But when I get a PC, I'll hopefully download an emulator for the game and download the ROM. It won't feel like playing on a GameCube, but atleast I can still play it.
Anyways, Super Paper Mario does have some controversial aspects to it, like it being a platformer and not an RPG, which has never really bothered me.
But the story, that's the best part

For the final boss, I think it would’ve been cool if Mario tried to save Luigi by plucking out the sprout, only for it to re-root itself on Mario’s head. The idea of having a face-off with the main protagonist of one of the biggest and most successful game franchises of all time sounds super cool.

Colour Splash is better than you remember
Sticker Star made the series tank, but Color Splash brought it back a little. Origami King has a chance to revive the series.

Man I miss playing Super Paper Mario, it sure has been a while, it’s my favorite Paper Mario game ever. How much I wish it returned to the Wii U and now later the Switch

Actually Nintendo did make a Paper Mario game for the Wii U and now another one is being developed by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch.
The names are Paper Mario: Color Splash for the Nintendo Wii U and Paper Mario: The Origami King for the Nintendo Switch.
Color Splash is available now.
The Origami King wii be released on July 17th, 2020.

So, I was having a hard time defeating this boss, so then I got an idea. I switched to Bowser, attacked King Croacus at the bottom with fire (The part with the leaves), and then the game crashed.
If any of you still own this game, try it out for yourself. You can actually hit that part.
You can also hold onto King Croacus himself once his rose bush withers and he starts making petal shurikens. Wait for him to bloom, then fire away!🤣

Here's an advanced joke I guarantee you never caught as a kid: at 10:53 Dimentio clears out the pixelated background for a smoother one, essentially taking you from 8-bit to 16-bit and says "now my attacks are 256 times more potent" and he chooses that number because the values you can store in 16 bits are 256 times larger than the values you can store in 8 bits. I mean, wow. Just wow.

As shown this boss that can copy your forms & your powers. The Shadoo is also known for the fact that it's the most powerful boss in the entire game more powerful than any other.
If only Nintendo showed what it really looked like though that would be wonderful.
