Leaving the house behind is a slap in the face to all of the builders who worked on this, is a waste go the money for all of the materials bought. The owners could have cleaned out their things and put it up for sale. Or even donated it. Apparently when you have this much money you donf care about the time and materials that went into building this home.

It's not a slap in the face to the builders. They were just doing a job they were getting paid to do. Things get built and demolished all the time. It's the nature of the beast.

People used to like cedar lined closets to keep their clothes fresh and away from moths. Some cedar rooms could be a sauna too. This also looks like my house growing up (not big like this lol) but a lot of the same characteristics and features which was built in the mid 80s. Great find!!!

I gave such a neat freak compulsion to make things right I'd have to leave that place better than I found it. Like put the fireplace grate back where it goes, toilet seats and lids down and doors to closets closed and kitchen cupboards too. Simple quick things and if Windows were left open I'd close them if I could.

It is a beautiful house. You're probably right about it being built in the 90's. I remember seeing some houses similar to this one being built in the 80's too. It's a shame that it sits empty. Definitely needs a new roof put on it and they'll have to get rid of the mold down in the basement. I wonder why there's always mold in the basements. 🤔 Seems like they would make sure there was plenty of ventilation down in these basements when they build these houses. I loved the cedar closets too. I'd probably change a few things if I owned it. Like for an example...I would had rather had wooden rails on the staircase instead of iron. I hope no one goes in the house and starts vandalizing it. Anyway, thank you for sharing this huge house with us. 👍

Oh, I adore this mansion! I am about 1/2 way through and wanted to write a couple things down. The shoe box appeared to be Neiman Marcus - which is still a high end designer label in the USA. Maybe not as expensive or popular as it was in the 90's if I remember correctly. The 90's were my teen years (especially late 90's) and I loved the late 90's the most! The kitchen is massive and I never really understood having a desk in the kitchen but it was a popular staple at that time. It most standard homes the desk were small and at a counter end. I think the theory was probably to jot notes, list (groceries, supplies), schedules (kids, maintenance), bills down. It would be convenient for the housekeeper of a mansion. I do a lot of that stuff at my own kitchen table come to think of it. And that smallish room with the vanity and large mirror facing with the balcony and glass doors, my first thought was a dance studio looking at the lighting but I thought I saw a place you could possibly have a barr. The living room is beautiful, I love the little wet bar and the gorgeous stone fireplace, the view. I could definitely carry on that theme. The couple is just as beautiful as the house. The master suite was beautiful, absolutely loved the bathroom. Upstairs was nice, I love that it gets so much sunlight. I loved the basement, pool and pool house. It would definitely be right up my alley if I were wealthy. It looks liveable not formal. I guess that's another thing I love about it. I hate that it will be demolished. Great find! Loved the video! Take care, stay safe and God bless! 💞Kat

That location is beautiful and looks like it was very beautifully landscaped to show off the surroundings especially how the pool and area were designed. I would love to live in that location and keep the pool and most of the landscaping. The outside design/look of the house I like but alot of the inside I don't has a good deal of 1980s style and color tones with regard to the kitchen cabinets and the light wood floor in the living room and the white rocks on the fireplace. So looks like a mix of '80s & '90s style, finishes. One thing I would keep almost the same with a few changes. Is the master bath it's so unique. Not so much mirrors and cabinet change and those upstairs bathrooms with the red fixtures those have to go. Totall kitchen redo reface the fireplaces in a nice dry stack natural stone look. Get rid of all the melamine cabinets(the white one's in that living room and update with nicer interior doors and hardware. The sunlight window is pretty clever to get natural light in that closet and that's a keeper.

This is an awesome find and this is my kinda house. I think it's beautiful and the master bedroom and bath I need that huge closet space!
In its day I know that pool area was gorgeous! The huge kitchen and all the cabinets is my kinda kitchen I know it had to be gorgeous also. I mean this whole house is gorgeous to me it's such a shame it will be demolished. I know it would need work done on it but I believe it would be worth it if someone has the money. And those rooms that had the cedar walls was beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing this house it was awesome exploring it with you. 🥰

I learned from a friend to make sure no matter where I go to carry something red. Red means money and luck. I always have my red wallet. And my son and husband I always make sure they have a red paper in their wallet.

The shoebox was from Neiman Marcus. It's a highend clothing store. I am not quite sure if in the past there was a store in Canada but there are in NYC.
Cedar is commonly used for all of the things listed below. If you use it in your closet you will need to give it a good sanding to get that beautiful smell renewed!

Targ is a Futureistic arcade maze/shooting game from the 80s. It was developed by Exidy.... it was also released on Sega systems, but I do not remember it at all. Hope this helped!

The satellite looks like one from the early1990s. They were huge.

This house had so many unique details. The kitchen and the large master.

Very cool house. Sad that it's just left there to rot.

I think the room with the loud drawers and all the windows was probably a formal dining room. I picture them putting a buffet on the black built in and a fancy ice sculpture lol 😂

Everything looks brand new! Like they built it, lived in it briefly, and moved out! Do you know what the story is behind this abandonment?
It’s not my style (except the backyard, it’s beautiful!) but what a shame to tear it down!
