Naturally Aspirated V8s are sadly rare these days, since many cars are turbo.

I love this version of Audi’s 4.2 but my favorite version is in the RS5 because the old RS4 comes with the 420hp V8 that’s closely related to the V8 in the R8 but the 2013-2015 RS5’s 450hp V8 is Audi/Lamborghini’s V10 with two cylinders missing, the two V8s are the same size so it confuses people but you can tell the difference from the sound, the RS4 sounds deeper (like a muscle car) and the RS5’s V10 derived V8 sounds slightly more high strung closer to an exotic sound (it is based off the V10 which is an exotic engine)

@@TraIsKind The B7 RS4 revs to 8250RPM, you need to fact check yourself. I own a B7 RS4 and it definitely revs past 8000RPM before bouncing off the limiter
@@Mike-bt3ki I did some research, and the has its redline (visually on the tach) set at 8,000 RPM but the fuel cut off is at 8250, the RS5’s redline (visually on the tach) is set at 8250 and the fuel cut off is also at 8250, so yes the RS4 does also rev to 8250, (so weirdly we’re both right lol) both versions of the 4.2 (RS4 and RS5 respectively) are so awesome!

I've always been a Japanese I4 “blender” type of kid, never really into american muscle or bigger engines and such, but I think the RS4 actually looks nice.. in a few weeks my dad and his friend with an S4 are meeting up and I finally get to see this car in reality yet again!
