- It's almost impossible to activate Pseudo Evo through normal means as you need 170 Focus/Will/Morale and a 90% Synchro rate .Easier while Ace because of the increased rate of synchro when deployed. While it isn't as flashy as the Mazin folks, it has the fire power.

The Mazingers definitely stole the show this SRW but this is probably the coolest EVA has ever looked. Plus, AT field is always very nice.

You heard me right. BARON ASURA of all people, BITCHSLAPPED the Mazinger Z ON FOOT.
The only issue I have with the Rebuild versions of the Evangelions is the lack of attacks such as the katana for Unit-01, the dance combination for Unit-01 and Unit-02 along with the N2 mine for Unit-00. Plus Unit-00's blue colour scheme I think suits it better. However, this is definitely the best Unit-01 from the Rebuilds has looked so far, will definitely make use of this when my copy arrives :)
So, X-O actually has Eva 01 in Rebuild style with the Magorok E Sword. It just didn't get in V. Probably because V was well into development by the time that became a thing.
I think I remember seeing some footage of that somewhere. Like you said its probably because of V being well into development is why it never appeared, ah well theres always next time and being able to use the awakened unit-01 is a pretty big plus.
The ability to use Awakened Eva 01 was a huge plus for this game. Honestly when Rebuild is done well i prefer it to the series. Getting more Eva's plus attacks like The Beast mode make up for some of the extras that the series has. Plus I'm a fan of Mari and the more hot blooded versions of Asuka and Shinji.
I prefer the hot-blooded versions of their characters too. Shinji definitely gets a good showing the game not just in terms of Awakened Unit-01 but in character aswell, right up there with how he is in the Alpha series and might be even better.

What I didn't like about the Pseudo-Evol form is it's melee attack. Yes it does tons of damage, but I was hoping something like the Berserk 01's rampage attack.

There's a secret Scenario after 39 called "Come The Messenger" where you get Evangelion 13 as an optional swap for Evangelion 01, and you can switch between them in the Hangar. You get Kaworu as the sub-pilot as per usual. Could you possibly record the attack animations since I don't actually have the game? I heard about this from my cousin and the internet.

Is it bad that I never found it difficult to get Shinji to 170 morale and was consistently using Pseudo Evolution every stage once it was unlocked?
No, this srw game was pretty easy.
How do you do it?
At this time, shinji should have 'drive' in his spirit pool, and it would help increase his morale. At the skill program before going to scenarios, you need to increase his Morale limit so you need to give Shinji 'Break Morale Limit' at the highest level (+3) and you need to give him the 'Fighter's spirit' skill to have his morale above 110 at the start of every battle to make things easier. With morale requiring upgrades for any mech, you need to have SP Regen skill just for facing bosses or any powerparts skill that constantly increases morale every turn (maybe Diva's ring?), also, have Eva kill grunts more to increase the synchro rate, then you'll get the Pseudo-evol state. To be honest, Koji is easier to do. Just increase morale to 150 and mazinger zero is good to go. But Shinji's upgrades are worth it especially once you get his ace bonus.

I've always heard that berserk eva 01 was a legit strategy in F, but how is it done? Is it with the taunt seishin or is there an item for low repair?

Too easy. Maxing out Eva-01 and acing with Shinji would net you a high synchro rate after just killing one mook.

To be honest, enemy Eva-01 wouldn't be a problem. Just gang up on it and take it down like every other boss in the game. Many super robot bosses are tougher than Evangelion anyway.
There are only two real reasons you don't want Eva-01 going berserk: First, it's a massive waste of time to take it down. Second, you may have a hang over from other SRPGs and never want to let any unit die, ever.

Are EVA Units considered Super or Real robots? Sorry for the question. The last Super Robot Wars game I played was Alpha 3 and Z.
Super. The Eva units archetypally have high HP and durability but terrible evasion rates. They also have a lot of EN for the AT-Field, which cancels almost any attack that deals less than 3000 or more damages depending on the pilot's Synchro Rate. Despite having lower armors compared to Getters and Mazingers, Eva robots can act like brick walls against less powerful mooks; The more Focus and Synchro the pilots have, the more defensive they get.
Even in anime, they are supers. Sure, they use mundane weapons like knives and guns, but the suits are made of supernatural, unknown alien technology that needs an entire laboratory to moderate and supply. Only few of them are produced, and they can only be piloted by the chosen ones. The overall narrative is also harking back to the 70s super robot anime due to its weekly "defend the base" scenarios.
@@manat31790 Not every Alien Rare Tech series is a Super, but despite the lankiness and mundane martial weapons, EVA Units are Supers, maybe not Steel Fortress level, but they're tougher than some of the Combiner Supers SRW has seen, EVA was intended as a deconstruction of Super Robot Anime(and Real a bit, but mainly Supers)... I can't say it did it well, I personally despise the actual show(poor Shinji, he deserved better), but the machines are cool,
