Six More Miles (to the Graveyard) - Fingerpicking Hank Williams (Open G)

- I used to be in a Hank Williams Tribute band "The Lovesick Cowboys" and we played some of the worst gigs I've played - we never played this one though. I heard this on a Pine Hill Haints E.P. that Sam had and always thought it sounded a bit more interesting than a lot of Hank's other stuff.
I used to play in open tunings more often but I got tired of retuning between songs. I nearly had this down in the key of A in standard tuning but there was one bit I couldn't quite get so I thought I'll just make things easier for myself and tune it to Open G.
Happy belated 100th birthday to Hank Williams!

Thank you David! Really nice!
Thanks!
Simply great! Love it so much!👍😙
Thank you! 😊
Fantastic, as always! By the way, did you mean in your description that they were some of the worst gigs you've played, because the music wasn't appreciated by the crowd?
Yeah, we tried playing the UK country music scene and they really didn't like it... Well we were quite diversive anyway! Maybe we just weren't very good 🤷♂️
totally like your way playing the blues. how you got into so many nice songs? just started playing more fingerpicking blues and find it kind of hard to get to know more easy songs to cover. greetings from munich germany
Danke, Freddy! I started with "Don't Think Twice It's Alright" by Bob Dylan then worked backwards (through history). If you're looking to learn acoustic blues, this is a good place to start - www.guitarvideos.com/
Thank you for answering, David! I definitely check out the page! Your Martin Guitar is an old one right ;)? Looks and sound perfect for your playing.
