The guest villains were all played by famous movie stars.
The wall climbing were a highlight to the show and were always funny.
Batman was a hot show. Lots of celebrities wanted to appear, as villains or in the 'window' scenes.

The 1966 movie is pretty funny; Batman and Robin's Batcopter crashed - fortunately coming down outside a foam rubber convention on a big mound of foam rubber.
And on the regular series, when they scaled the building and the Green Hornet and Kato appear at the window, Robin asks Batman 'Why are they dressed like that?'
Who can forget "Some days you just can't get rid of a bomb" or Batman's epic fight with a rubber shark that comes out of the water to attack him?
Well, it fooled me... Then again I was young.

the insanely skinny "rope" they used to "climb" the buildings.. i am guessing had to be used so as not to show slack, but still, its like the width of a shoelace..😆

Many famous actors wanted to be on Batman but producer William Dozier simply didn't have the scripts to fit them in. It is believed that Frank Sinatra was pestering Dozier all throughout the show's run to get on it.
