Listen, I get it that we wanna depict Mario more gentler. I'm on board with that. But having the chance of hearing "you big monkey" in non-compacted audio was supposed to be the selling point! I was ROBBED!

I'd love for them to do this, just to see if they have the stones to make the original DK look the way he did back then in 3D.
I mean, they removed like 3 charming details for every 1 charming detail they added and seem to have overall made the game easier.
Fun fact: When I first bought DK94 on Virtual Console, I honestly expected the game to just end at 100m. I was wrong. I was so wonderfully, amazingly wrong. Still love that game to bits.
If you haven't seen the ADs or a gameplay/longplay video prior to playing, it's really that suprise factor knowing that the game dosen't end where Arcade did.
Had the same experience when I picked up a used original GB cart for cheap. Honestly might be the best game on the system.

It’s one of the only remasters that I wish had a button that instantly changed to the original artstyle, music and graphics, like the MCC. Nothing will ever beat the original for me on GBA unfortunately
The music’s definitely one of the best parts of the game

I wasn't impressed with this remake cuz it got rid of the high scorer system, that was basically the only driving force for me to ever replay levels

DK '96 - Showdown at the Tower (Semi Final Boss) is one of the best tracks on the entirity of GameBoy anything. That song makes that game a 10 out of 10

I actually thought it WAS the DK 94 version that was getting remade. What a missed opportunity to just do both games since they were practically the same game anyway.

DK 94 is the GOAT I would love to hear a remastered version of Shodown at the Tower. That game was super fun and had a lot of good music, now that I think about it.

I have a hunch Nintendo is having there studios remake and remaster versions old popular games like MvD and Thousand Year Door so they’ll be properly ready to make new games for the next console.
Imagine if we got an incredible Paper Mario Game and an incredible New Mario vs. Donkey Kong game for the next console, along with the next big 3D Mario game!

I thought the game was going to be like the ds one where you control the toy Mario’s, I was very sad when playing the demo to learn that it was not that. I loved that game as a kid and was excited to see it on switch. Thinking about it now, I’m not sure how they’d remake that game since it relied completely on the stylus 🤷

This game is so frustrating. The controls don’t do what you tell them to (I’m looking at you back-flip) and also, when jumping on the crumbling rock as well as any standard platform, he just stops moving and you have to pump the direction a few times for him to start walking again.
The game, if it worked correctly, I would love. What was released is infuriating.

I like the remake of Mario VS Donkey Kong. But I would have preferred a remake Of the donkey kong game on gameboy That game was perfect.
You need to talk about the hit boxes and the controls, especially when you're using an unmodded Pro Controller. And considering price, this made what would have been an otherwise fun game, somewhat unbearable. Also, track 39 is lit. You can hear it in 7+-1 too.
It is a lame remake, no score point which was the core of the gameplay, and no minigame for collecting the 3 boxes

i mean my wife got it on a whim (i was not happy about the $50 price) but its actually really fun! solid remake and all the puzzles are decently challenging
