- Leaders of China and Russia have been meeting in Beijing - where China's Xi Jinping said he hoped Europe will return to peace and stability soon.
His Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin said he was open to negotiations over the Ukraine conflict.

The retail sales of goods rose by 2% on a yearly basis, while services catering added 4.4%, and telecommunication equipment saw a 13.3% growth. Online retail improved by 11.5% annually.

Russia's Foreign Ministry announced on Thursday the expulsion of a British defense attache and said more measures may follow.
The move comes after a similar measure was taken by the UK a week ago when British Home Secretary James Cleverly told the parliament that his department had expelled a Russian military attache over what he described as "malign activity."
The Russian foreign ministry did not elaborate on what kind of retaliatory measures it may take in the future. Moreover, the ministry added that the previous move from the UK was "a politically motivated action with a clearly expressed Russophobic character, which deals irreparable damage to bilateral relations."
