Wondering if I can get by with using vinyl instead of emulsion for a few weeks until I can afford the exsposure unit... plus I'm comfortable with vinyl
How long does the screen last using HTV? And how did you remove the vinyl if you did? Would you or have done this again? Love watching your videos brother.
i was actually was not able to even clean it up . whatever chemical i used. if you want something permanent . this is the way to go i guess. lol but i wouldnt suggest you do it if you are goin to be changing designs on the screen
i get that this video is older but i have a question.. why not put the htv on the top side? the way you would with normal 651? i feel like the ink would collect in the screen causing it to pocket and cause it bleed at some point. just opinion and question?
Coz its a vinyl u cant scrape it good with squeegee if u had the htv on top. I would recommend this for small project but to tell u tho. I had that screen for a very long time as i had hard time getting it off. I have used a lot of chemicals and it wont take off. So i say that this can be a legit way on doin it if someone doesnt have a printer to print their transparencies or designs.
I was just thinking about this the other day. I figured it would result in a permanent screen (and I'd be doing it for a screen I'd keep in archive anyway). Any issues running ink through it or does it behave just like emulsion?
G-Code One Design it will come off but you wont be able to reprint on the same screen. Unless im doing it wrong. But i think because of the chemicals the vynil does not stick nomore
They make a product called VLR “Vinyl Letter Remover” it’s nasty stuff (wear gloves and well ventilated area). Not sure what it would do to the silk screen but people use this stuff for removing htv on garments.
I do the VLR method and well I cost the whole screen and scrub ….but careful it doesn’t get on the sides of the screen because then the screen will start to lose tension from all the vlr getting on the sides
Heat transfer vinyl comes with its own transfer tape. It's a two layer deal. The vinyl cutter only cuts through the vinyl so once you weed your design, it's ready to be heat pressed.
Heat Transfer vinyl...Really Excellent for Lettering.
You tried to peel the 2nd design before you pressed it and I laughed ... looks good man I’m gonna attempt this soon
I wasnt able to wash off the htv with all the chemicals ive used lol. 🤙
Hi what paper did you use? Can it be used to cut a stencil from a scan n cut machine and then iron the transfer paper on to a t shirt.
Htv from imprintables back in the days now its own by Stahls
what temperature did you use and how long
And you pressed it on 110 mesh ? At what degrees for 15sec
