痴線咩，住 white rock, 除非你是七老八十退休人仕，或在那裏有工作，平日經Surrey 揸車出市區塞車最少要两小時，你咪靠害啦！

For those who have money, please do not buy a townhouse, condo. Go for a single detached house so you have the land value + 100% property ownership . You won't have to pay for the management fee, strata fee or any ongoing fixup to the strata / management. No sharing to the entertainment room, gym room. Never buy a property where is located next to a main street / route / higeway or high traffic area. Talk to those residents have been living in the area for at least 20 years. You simply can't compare living in White Rock to the Repluse bay, nor compare an apple to an orange. There are many cities in BC are way better and cheaper compare to White Rock.
Don’t just tell one side story, what is the land tax like for owning a single detached house ?
The old saying of buying a house is good but not practical for starters. I don't know White Rock, seems to be in the middle of no where. The principal to buying real estate is location, location & location. In California, I believe in buying whatever you can afford and upgrade to a house later. If you wait till you have enough down payment for a house before you buy, houses might have gone up too much and you will have a hard time catching up. In the last 7 years, all 3 of my kids bought a condo/townhouse/PUD (not a house) and the appreciation afforded them enough down payment of a house of their dreams. My son paid $500K for a condo in 2016, appreciated to $760K in 2021 and sold it to buy his dream home. The $260K appreciation is the additional down payment you won't have and the fact that owning was cheaper than renting for the last six years.
@@jlouie8835 keep in mind buying something that you need, not what you want. The reality market in BC is a bubble, overpricing and killing many young people. It is a huge commitment to a mortgage which is not worthy.
