I just finished watching your mom's channel i always look for your channel or your mom's you both make my day. I just found out my cancer is back and i will have to have chemo again
in but i had 3 years in remission is great one of the lymph nodes has grown. You are so fortunate to have a supportive family. Im 73 so not many family left. God bless you and your family.

If you want a movie that sounds a bit like "From Lukov With Love" watch The Cutting Edge. It's an old movie, 1992, but I love it. It's a good light hearted comedy romance movie.

Love your new intro. I just finished Fourth Wing - loved it!!! And, just finished my first audiobook ever, Iron Flame. Liked Fourth Wing better. Liked Iron Flame but there was a lot to take in. Loved some of the plot twists. Just got Divine Rivals from library for book club this month. There's a handful of books you and your mom read that I want to list on my 24 TBR books list for 2024. Good luck at school!!

I read 230 books (including 87 comics). I gave five stars to nine novels, for example to All That's Left in the World by Erik J. Brown, The Darkness Outside Us by Eliot Schrefer, A Good Girl's Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson and Red, White and Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston. Higky recommend all of them!

Thank you so much for sharing your favorites. I read 95 books in 2023. All on my kindle. Some from my favorite authors and series that I follow and some from your recommendation and book club. Loved all but one and i have added several to my favorite authors list. Rock, Paper, Scissors was my only fail. Could not finish it. Love your insight and wish you a happy, healthy and successful year. Looking forward to seeing whats next.

Fantastic book review, Jess. I can't believe you actually read so many. I wish I could afford to buy a few for the Brock Book Nook (say that ten times fast!) and join in the fun. But, that is life for me, unfortunately. Anyway, I love to read and have read so many wonderful books in my lifetime. Keep up the awesome work to fuel your fire and love for reading. Maybe if more people read their life would be enhanced.

Jess, I don't know what you're taking in school but, have you ever given any thoughts to writing stories yourself? You've lived a pretty interesting life so far & you could add in fantasy or dramatic elements to make things even more interesting. Plus, you have us here, your whole YT community, _more_ than willing to read anything & everything you chose to share. Perhaps, think about it? Think about starting your own reddit thread? You could do _anything_ from short stories to poetry, if that's what you like?
Please, just remember _all_ great authors had reservations about their own work in the very beginning. YOU have such a great talent as a reader & you retain glorious amounts of the stories, characters & plots. You also have such a good, honest & kind heart with an _amazing_ personal drive to fight & succeed. Whatever you chose to do, we'd support you. Congrats on getting back to school. *hugs

It would be cruel of me not to provide you with a fair warning. One of the O'Malley's gets cancer, and she does pass away.
Would you be willing to try a new series? They are not your typical reading choice, and probably outside your comfort zone.
If so, my favorite series was written by Dee Henderson. Her genre is in the area of Christian suspense and mystery, with a little romance sprinkled throughout.
If you're willing, then may I recommend you begin with the first two? Which are prequels to her entire book series about the O'Malley's.
The books, in order, are:
"Jennifer" and "Danger in the Shadows".
There are an additional six books to complete the series. However, these would provide you with the flavors involved in her style of writing. Be forewarned the last two books in the series will rip on your emotions, but that's because... well, I won't spoil it for anyone.
I also won't press or harp on you. I would feel honored if you'd check them out, only because I asked you to. 😊

Hey... I watch your moms vids, and saw fourth wing on a shelf, and knew you guys had a book club here, so thought I'd stop by to see your take on it.
First off, just so you know where I'm coming from; im an old dude that has been reading scifi & fantasy since i was a kid. So, probably not your usual demographic here...
This book came up as a recommended book on audible, and the basic gist seemed interesting. The first reviews either loved it or co.plained about the narrator having a stuffy nose, but the sample sounded cool.
Oh, and Im not into romance novels... 😬
So.... this... is definitely a romance novel. Lots of interesting plot, and a very cool world. And then there's the angsty romance stuff, and some EXTREMELY, um, "in depth" love scenes. 🫤
Not my cuppa, those bits. I skipped em. Also, a ton of swearing, F bombs, etc. That doesn't bother me at all, but i know it bothers some.
So, while the book starts off very YA oriented, it definitely goes over the line for what I'd recommended for a tween/teen.
I'm finishing Iron flame as i write this. More plot/story oriented, less romance. A decent book, but, like many sequels, it brings all the characters from the first )and there are a TON) then adds another couple dozen. Overall, a decent sequel though.
Anyhow, off the topic of the books, glad to see you feeling better. I teared up watching what you and your family went through over those weeks and months, and am so thrilled things are looking so good!
