I think that's his max. For Bolt record to go he has to improve his first 100m. Bolt ran 9.92 on the corner and 9.27 on the straight which Lyles is better on the straight but that's too much time to catch up. Lyles ran 10.15 on the corner and 9.16 on the straight. For him to break Bolt record he has to get faster over the first 100m running around 10s and maintain his speed down the straight which if he goes out too fast he will likely tighten up on the straight. For that record to go he has to run 10.02 on the corner and repeat the 9.16 on the straight which ain't easy because only one other person has ran a faster straight than that

Am Kenyan, but team USA is my second preferred Athletics Team. They have such presence on Track it's always the team to watch in sprints same way Kenya has always been the team to beat in distance races including marathon. Happy for USA. Ì love Knighton. His resilience. He is only a teenager racing experienced athletes and walks away with a medal. I love Kenny, he is as cool as a cucumber, but full of determination. You cant even tell he is running fast. To beat Knighton he was running fast. Congrats team USA. You bring style, talent and life on track!
