  • Filmed on March 12, 2016: This used to have an open-out corridor until they have completely renovated the whole property I believe about at least a year or 2. Hope you guys enjoy this tour of this wonderful motel featuring a broken Schindler "330-YAY" elevator!

    This motel is very interesting. My favorite is the part of how the hallway is closed in with doors so often on ground floor for easy access to outside. lf I ever come through there again, maybe I'll stay there. I been through the area before heading into Memphis before. Also, hopefully the elevator is fixed by now.

    The quality of the elevator has NOTHING to do with what is going on here! It is the quality of the people that own it. and neglect it obviously. A 330A is not a bad elevator. Also this is DEFINITELY a former hampton inn. One that probably lost its franchise hence why they went with Ramada which has very low standards.

      Schindler 330A's are decent nowadays. I clearly can tell this was a Hampton property.

      I worked at a Hampton Inn for three years and I bet these owners lost the Hilton Flag and franchise due to three failed inspections done by Hilton Hotels which is owned by Blackstone Group LLC

    3:20 I noticed that when you mentioned that people are coming you don’t want to get them on camera. It’s actually legal to record in public places. You just can’t record people in their hotel rooms or their houses or in the bathrooms. But you make great hotel tours

    • @JimLiElevators
      @JimLiElevators  Před 8 lety

      Schindler 300A's, 321A's, and probably 330A's. Schindler RT's are a lot worse!

    I rarely find bad Schindler hydros. I only know of three bad ones so far...

    • @JimLiElevators
      @JimLiElevators  Před 8 lety

      Mostly are Schindler 330A's with HT that ran perfectly well. Schindler 300A's are horrible than 330A's. Been on tons of bad Schindler 300A's with MT/RT fixtures.

  • @davidthehondaenthusiast

    Amazing video as always! I'm honestly not surprised that the Schindler HT is broken XD
    Anyways the toilet is pretty fascinating just because it drains into the lower section of the wall opposed to just into the floor like most. The reason it has a "slow flush" is because it is designed to use 3.5 gallons of water opposed to the regular 1.28 and 1.6 gallon toilets to today's standards. However the 3.5 gallon toilets flush better and are far harder to clog than the new ones. If the EPA wouldn't have jacked up the water law with toilets, then we wouldn't have to get the plunger every time a toilet clogs and the only reason they do clog easily nowadays is they aren't designed to use a decent amount of water. Anyways most of everyone up here probably wasn't interested in what I said, but just in case anyone up here wanted to learn something about what they use on a daily basis, then that whole paragraph was for you.

    It looks good but this hotel is also nice and their is a bathroom problem it takes the toilet to suck it self in and I seen when you flush the toilet the water goes up and it spins and goes down but their maybe problems into the toilet pipe , and the light needs some repair.
    Btw I love your video it’s the best ❤
