Only downside is the jerky throttle when cruising speed limits in sport mode. Feels like engine is cutting in and out

I test rode one of these, when you are on it! Brilliant and cracking brakes but the initial throttle response was awful.
The 285° crank is simply to make the KTM parallel twins sound like the 75° KTM V-twins. 🙂
I have the Advanced model (8" TFT, steering damper, QS and keyless). Done 10k miles on it in 5 months. Other than some build issues from our local assembler, it's been a fun bike. A more comfortable and grown up 790.
Don't have issues getting the front wheel off the ground though.... So curious what that torque monitoring thing I keep hearing about.
Low speed throttle is a mess though...almost impossible to ride smoothly low speed on anything less than 20% throttle openings and takes way more clutch finessing than I would like.

I bought a little papio last year and I’ve beat the absolute shit out of it. Straight out of the dealership I redlined it down the highway for 20 mins, went straight to the mud pit and buried it so deep you couldn’t see the chain. Ran it with no oil for like 20 miles. Chain has never seen lube or an adjustment in 5k miles. It’s got flipping Bluetooth to watch all your engine details and track it etc. it’s proven to me Cfmoto can handle abuse. The 450 was fun to ride, cool looking, perfect beginner bike. And now they’re working on a 1000 that looks insane. It’s insane how big they’ve grown, especially a Chinese company. I’m America lolThese are some bad ass bikes.

Bought one Advanced model with all the goodies for approx 8.5k in black. For the money is hard to beat. Already ordered exhaust from aliexpress 😊. Might make a video on it.
You can swap out the cat for a midpipe for 790 Duke, it'll make about 3 extra horsepower and shave off about 6 pounds.

I have the advanced version and it has Traction control that you can turn on and off. Thought it would of been the same with this version as well.
My Triumph Scrambler has exactly the same problem with the high/low beam switch when I'm wearing thick winter gloves. It's really annoying.
I wish you could have done the dyno numbers for each of the modes to see if they were different!
I dont understand the business model KTM Husqavarna CFmoto Kramer(Track only bikes) they all use the same engines and have ownership of each other I believe I don’t understand how that’s more valuable

Yup 100 on brochure(crank power) I guess. I had it dynoed and got 90hp 51nm, after decat, sc project scr-1, and remap(just fuel mapping, rpm is still limited at 9800rpm) I got 93hp 54nm. Next would be installing DNA filter and another map, I'm hoping to get another 2hp 2nm and still won't remove the rev limiter.
