Maria Callas was a wonderful opera singer. She was also very fortunate to live in such an Amazing City like Paris, and have such a wonderful apartment. Thank you for producing ans sharing!
I've been there yesterday, during my journey in Paris. I could walk the steps and took the lift. It was exciting. I arrived to the door but I don't think it is now possible to enter the flet because it is private. An emotional ecperience.

I can't believe! Owned by a business man! It should be a memorial place. How could they let it be changed and inhabited after her? Thanks for posting, that's really great experience. She wasn't "very fortunate" to live there! The entire word should call themselves fortunate to have Callas. She was above and beyond any words and fortunes. I hope the "business man" appreciates the honour he has to share the same space with her, because she still lives there and she always will.
I was also shocked now when discovered this house is not a memorial. Terrible. She left to the world the whole of her being and in the end, France didn't make this house her memorial..Shame on them.
Are you kidding? Places in this area cost a fortune. Would you buy a flat and turn it into a museum just because someone famous once lived there? The fact that the plaque outside is so tiny shows that the residents do not want to turn it into a shrine.

Seul son premier Mari l a aimée, protégée pris soin d Elle mais physiquement elle été attirée vers un Autre.. .
