Last season, as a huge Messi who has been watching every single on of his games since 2010, I could for the first time admit that Messi was no longer the best player in the world. However, it is clear that he has finally settled at PSG and now feels at ease, and we are now seeing the Messi we know from Barcelona. Such a blessing to watch him, and completely ridiculous he still the best player in the world at the age of 35.
In last season were many reasons that he was not at his best. First of all he left his favourite club and his city where he wanted to stay and he went after 21 years to a new team and secondly he had a long covid and he could barely run but now he is back to his best, he adapted to psg and we are witnessing the real messi again and a magical season by him so far 🐐🐐🐐. Also a reason that he didnt perform very well in last season was pochettino which didnt know how to use him but now galtier knows very well

Because of Messi’s position he isn’t allowed to score “easy” goals anymore. He isn’t in a position for tap ins or whatever. And he also doesn’t take penalties. Because he comes from midfield now, his goals are either:
-freekicks
-outside the box goals
-goals that started with him from outside the box and he finished himself inside the box
-dribble goals.
In other words, he’s limited to only scoring highlight goals. And yet this guy still has 27 goals this calender year. And I don’t even need to start with his 25 assists. Some of Messi’s outrageous assists so far:
-broke through 8 man from midfield for easy goal
-assisted mbappe from midfield in the first 30 seconds of the match
