- As a rock musician, most people wouldn't guess that I grew up on country music. Yep! But to me, country stopped being country a long time ago.
This is why Chris Stapleton is such a breath of fresh air! I don't know his backstory very well, but I'd argue that he is someone who stayed true to himself throughout his music career. You can hear it in his voice.
His music is genuine and real and passionate. THAT is something that’ll make me sing country.
