I forget his name, but I was in contact with the guy from "Agitated Native" who wrote this song, and he says he did not know that "Frank Chickens" had recorded it! It seems they never had permission to use it. The whole thing confused me because back in the early 80s when I was at university I saw both bands live on stage (in London) at about the same time. I remembered it as being by "Agitated Native", I think they even called it something like "Ronald MacRegan". Then finding this I began to doubt my memory. I was able to make contact with "Agitated Native" on social media and they confirmed it was their song, but were surprised the chickens had used it.
I remember hearing this in Canada on the radio when it came out. Bought the record too. Still sounds great 40 years later.
