- Frank Sidebottom's Fantastic Supergroup - Frank, David Soul off Starsky & Hutch and that opera the god squad went mental about after not seeing it, a hammered looking Paul Ryder out of Happy Mondays, and Little Mark E Smith - do an even better version of 'Hit The North' than big Mark E Smith did with the mighty Fall-ah!
As a Fall fan, I think its very hard to tell the difference.
He was less off it than the great genius Mes ha loved em both
I think the original is slightly better.
That's coz we never saw Mark E-Smith and Chris Sievey in the same room at the same time.

I wish I was raised in MCR sometimes so I could see the brilliance of these bands and this show. Being raised in Herts, Essex, and Kent, I wasn't exposed much to the work of Frank Sidebottom. My first ever hearing about this character was from that Michael Fassbender dramedy FRANK. This is outright hilarious...especially his squeaky Northern accent.

seen frank preform in the local working mens club in royton..oldham...only about 8 people were there....it was rubbish but fun...surreal....dream like in bits...got 2 shake his hand before he ran off.......love the fall tribute

That was the funniest thing I`ve seen in my life !!
This has brought back long suppressed memories from my childhood, being allowed to stay up late on a Friday night watching Granada TV. At the time I never even realised Frank Sidebottom was supposed to be funny; I suppose I'd've used the term "performance art" if I'd known it; and now I'm inclined to say the same... The fact that this was clearly broadcast relatively recently only makes the whole phenomenon more disturbing.
