  • Chamaeleo calyptratus
    Veiled chameleon (English)
    Chameleon jemenský (Česky)
    Chamaleón velado (Español)
    Dad Jemenchamäleon
    1851 (Duméril & Bibron)
    Kingdom: Animalia
    Phylum: Chordata
    Class: Reptilia
    Order: Squamata
    Family: Chamaeleonidae
    Genus: Chamaeleo
In this video you can see every veiled chameleon that I've ever had. There is my first chameleon, second chameleon, their 19 babies and 89 eggs of one of those babies. There will be the third generation on November, that's the time I expect these 89 chameleons to start hatching.
My first chameleon has past away last year, but I keep her daughter and husband (my second chameleon). This year I've bought another male chameleon and he really likes her. Those 89 eggs were laid by that youngest, slowest and the most delayed female chameleon, but she was fed well, her enclousure was almost perfect and this video is especially about my first chameleon and her daugher. That first chameleon would have become a grandmother on November if she had lived. Her husband (second chameleon) is doing well, so do her current male. I hope it makes sense even if it's complicated.
This is the last video from that era (2014-2015). There will be several videos about current chameleons and about the next generation.
Music was composed by me, I have a digital piano Yamaha NP-V80 piaggero. I work with the following software: Audacity, Sony Vegas Pro 13, Magix Music Maker 2014. I've been playing on the piano since July 2012.
Visit my main CZcams channel "Marek Kučera" about animals (especially tarantulas, chameleons and others) or my second channel "Marek Kučera [Inferion7] - Music" about music and piano.

I'm glad I've finished this video. The shooting of my chameleons has started 2 years ago, this song was originally composed even 3 years ago and edited since that time. It's not only a story about few chameleons, it's my memory.

Male or female? Maybe there's something wrong in the terrarium, it should be okay after 2 weeks of living in a new place. I do not touch them often.

You've done such a wonderful job with the habitats and the breeding and incubation...not to mention that you are so good-natured and knew that the slower chameleon had a chance. The music was a great fit as well! I loved this video. I'm going to be showing it to a science class! Thank you so much for posting it, and I'm glad you finished this too!

Thank you for your kind words. I had a chance to keep only one chameleon, it could be the strongest beautiful male, but I decided to keep that tiny female. Now I know and see it was a good decision. Thank you again for your nice comment.

Do you think they can read two books at once? That would be handy for mom, she could read a book out loud for the kids with one eye and 50 Shades of Everything with the other eye and not get bored.
Awesome set up I especially love the bamboo ladders. It's clear you take excellent care or your chameys and they couldn't ask for a better place to grow up. :)

Your video has inspired, let me backtrack have been contemplating on getting a veiled chameleon for a long time now and this video really made me what to care for one as a scaled best friend(SBF). Here in San Diego their are a lot of pet stores that sell chameleons and I doubted any chameleon i got would live past a couple months but seeing you have done such a good job why can't I?
    thank you Marek

what did you do with your 89 chameleons

    • @Inferion7
      @Inferion7  Před 7 lety +8

Incubated them, They are 152 days old today, last year it took 180 days, so I can suppose it will take one month only and they will start hatching. =)

How did you learn so much about keeping them so healthy, and even mating? You must have years of experience and had a great reference for hatching them. I'd love to have your expertise.
