    Three great videos, extremely informative as usual, I hope Colapz have given you the water barrel and trolley to test drive, as we purchased them at the show, hope you’re both better now, keep up the excellent work you both do.

      I recently got my Collapz water barrel and trolley delivered, along with various other items such as waste pipes and some connectors. The water barrel and pipes etc. are all very good quality, but the trolley is a piece of junk. It's quite flimsy and poorly constructed, with rough weld marks and some sharp areas on it. To fold it down the wheels have to be removed, and the pins holding them in place don't look like they'll hold up to doing that too often. The extendable handle doesn't, as it's so poorly fitted it's just jammed in place. As for the base, the little metal 'nipples' that are supposed to click in place and hold the platform open don't work as they don't align with the holes for them. As a result, unless the water barrel is actually on it, the trolley keeps falling over as the platform keeps folding back up. There's also a warning stating the trolley is only rated for 20KG, which is the weight of the water barrel when full, but honestly I wouldn't trust it as I imagine it would fall apart between the water point and your pitch. I ended up ordering a Stanley trolley from Amazon to use instead, it's rated for 60KG, has wheels already attached that fold in and out automatically, and it just works much better. My advice would be save £30 by only ordering the water barrel, and put that saving towards a 3rd party troley that will work for other purposes as well. The Stanley one I got cost £47.
      I didn't return the trolley as I've had such a bother getting my order from Collapz in the first place, and am still waiting on missing items being delivered. They managed to send me some wrong items, and also missed things like storage bags that should have been included. Their customer service has been pretty poor overall, taking ages to respond, an needing a couple of attempts to correct minor issues.
      On the whole I think the Collapz products (trolley excepted) seem very good, given the limited use I've put them to so far. But to be honest their customer service would make me think twice about buying from them again.

    A good selection of vans for those that like smaller units. We think it’s an area that’s really developed over recent years with a lot of competition between manufacturers and van types. Nice video Bob 😃👍🏻🚐 Trev

    The price of vans is insane. We will head for another big crash if people pay big money on these things that depreciate quickly. People apparently taking them now over 20 years to finance. Another big financial crash could come at some point due to this massive lending.

    • @br5380
      @br5380 Před 4 měsíci

      It’s linked to the price of base van’s and general inflation (circa 20% over the last 2 years alone) - then add in labour costs (Minimum Wage for example is going up 10% next month).

    The Wildax look nice, must look further at those, Interesting the narrow coachbuilts as quite liked the look of that Bailey one as looked well thought out - I found the B64 panel van conversion too tight for me with the seat in the front as you felt hemmed in the Ford cab as the seat wouldn’t go all the way back due to the things behind it (most folks that wouldn’t be an issue for of course). Hope you’re both good, all the very best, David & Rachel 👍

Enjoy this year's travels, and stay safe.

    The 2nd van, the control panel said that the fresh water tank had to be empty for travelling. Is that correct?

    • @BobEarnshawMoHo
      @BobEarnshawMoHo  Před 4 měsíci

      As long as you don't exceed your maximum weight, it's safe to travel with a little water. Remember that 90 litres of water weighs 90kg. If your payload is only 350kg, that's a significant chunk of payload gone.

    • @br5380
      @br5380 Před 4 měsíci

      @@BobEarnshawMoHo ah, so it’s more about the lack of payload.
      Always surprises me how little payload vehicles have due to manufacturers trying to squeeze under the 3500kg.
      Luckily I’ve an old-time licence 😀

    • @BobEarnshawMoHo
      @BobEarnshawMoHo  Před 4 měsíci +1

      @br5380 yes many motorhomes under 3500kg suffer from lack of payload. I was hoping the government were going to increase the 3500kg threshold for BE licence holders, but that now looks like it will only be for electric vehicles.

    • @BobEarnshawMoHo
      @BobEarnshawMoHo  Před 4 měsíci

      They say that because they don't include water in your payload, like most manufacturers. That why you need a decent payload to start with. As long as you've sensible with how much water you carry, it's fine.
