While I love Japanese cartoons since I was a kid, let’s face it, Japanese people are very closed and unfriendly people(to call it softly) not very welcoming, that for me at least, steals some of its natural beauty which by the way, is not that varied, is just the same woods and the beaches are ugly, the highlight is the Mount Fuji, now, if you like urban areas and modern infrastructure Japan has that in spades, just my opinion respectfully.
I have been to Italy 5 times, Thailand 4 times, Greece 3 times and Australia once. Would like to visit Costa Rica, Brazil and New Zealand

As an austrian I must admit that Switzerland is a bit more beautiful.
Still, the best region in Austria to visit is around Salzburg, seeing the lake Wolfgang, and exploring all the mountains around this region. Also the city of Salzburg is the most "austrian" I'd say.
