Siddhagad is located in the Bhimashankar Wildlife Sanctuary.
Siddhagad to Bhimashankar is a Range trek. No frequently attempted by trekkers because it's quite challenging and the route is not marked.
In this video, I have tried my best to tell you about this trail. I have also recorded the whole trek on GPS, you can DM me on Instagram if you want the GPX file for your reference.
Siddhagad is located near Murbad. In the video I have explained how to reach Siddhagad Fort. The famous Subhedar waterfall ( Siddhagad waterfall ) has also been covered in this video. From Siddhagad, there is a route in the jungle that goes to Bhimashankar via Kondhaval Village. Bhimashankar is located near Neral / Karjat. Narivali / Uchale are base village for Siddhagad while Khandas is the bade village of Bhimashankar.
Bhimashankar is one of the 12 Jyotirlinga thus many devotees come here. There is also a road connecting to Bhimashankar. People also trek to Bhimashankar. For trekking, there are two routes to Bhimashankar. Shidi Ghat and Ganesh Ghat.
During the trek you can see Gorakhgad, Machindragad, Ahupe Ghat, Siddhagad, Bhimashankar, Padargad in the surrounding.
Apart from this you can also spot Giant Indian Squirrel (Called Shekru in Marathi) which is the state animal of Maharashtra, Leopard, Striped Hyena, Golden Jackal, Barking Deer, and many more.
