  • Dr. Robin Collins is a professor of philosophy at Messiah University. In this interview we discuss his latest version of an argument for theism from fine-tuning for scientific discovery. To read more about the argument, check out chapter 4 of the book, God and Cosmology linked below.

Great resource. As a TikTok apologist with over 460,000+ followers, I am thankful you posted this resource and will be studying it for a good and thorough presentation of the fine tuning argument. Mainly for CZcams which will make a new channel for soon. Thanks again, this is benefitting me greatly.

Those were interesting reasons and conclusions for why God might have fine-tuned optimal tools for scientific discovery.

The drawback to a multiverse for a atheistic view is… in a infinite number of universes there will be one where there is a all powerful, all knowing creator who is outside time and matter

In any and all universes, there are things that are possible, but no magic. Why tell a lie when you will look weaker? Many of the universes were already here when dogs were born. Dirt first, then peanuts. The sand did not know about plant life.

One problem I see with this view is when we discover things about it since they tend to get very complicated such as recreating particles etc. Would this suggest God is sadistic/evil? God could have made discoverability easier.

I think the theist would say that God can't be sadistic/evil, and that the difficulty in discovering things is either our own fault or that it is a necessary consequence of own our limitations. something like that, idk. those guys can probably provide a better answer.

@@TheAnalyticChristian That's hilarious. "Top tier journals and academic presses."
Name them. Name _one._ Christians ALWAYS lie, so you're not to be believed until 1) It's really a "top tier" journal, not something published by Answers in Genesis or the Creation Institute.
      2) If he has actual published research in actual "top tier" journals, it's probably not on anything remotely religious, nor will it credit intelligent design for its findings.
      3) The journals and academic presses must not be those published by Christian organizations.

@@TheAnalyticChristian Ridiculous! Here's an example of the CHRISTIAN books and the CHRISTIAN articles, and the non-CHRISTIAN articles (only a very very rfew) are not HARD SCIENCE and provide NO HARD EVIDENCE FOR FINE -TUNING.
Once again, a Christian lies by indirection, lies by implication, and lies, lies, lies.
