I installed around $3000 worth of new, adjustable suspension onto my cheapo Aston Martin V8 Vantage, and now it's scary good. (Pricing was not final when video was made, price is higher than stated in video. Also, apologies for the blurry focus, I'm apparently new at this.)

I must be getting old or something, but I think that car looked better at the stock ride height. Lowered like that, the wheels don't look like they are correctly proportioned to the wheel arches.
you don't tune up high-end cars like Aston Martin...
The back end looks fine i think, its mostly the front end is a bit too low it should be propped back up maybe half an inch
Pierre Sept Astons are born to be tuned and raced. Keeping them stock goes against everything the company stands for. The more and Aston looks like it belongs at lemans the better.
Oh dear. The gap is now asymmetric. Not good.
I just lowered my $36,000 Aston Martin for $3,000 which I installed a $3,600 exhaust on so that I can park it behind my cheap $8,900 Mercedes-Benz SL55 AMG that I just fixed for $20 which was worth $130,000 in 2006 which is parked adjacent to my cheap $7,500 F350 dually and is under my $5,000 lift that I installed next to my cheap $1,000 Ford Mustang that I added a $1,000 nitrous kit to so that I can park my cheap $3,000 S class next to it without cluttering my garage.
Your a genius
Ogrodii you're*
greatest comment ive ever seen
The ride looks harsh as hell. The car is bouncing around so much. Was this work sponsored by BC so you can't really trash their product?
mktbully I would certainly trash it if it was a bad product. they are not episode sponsors but they did give me the parts to try out. I was very impressed, and the ride was quite good. the bouncing you see is my go pro mount.
aabidam 😐smh
Tavarish hey boss pay no attention to the doughters and haters
Oscar Sandoval no hate here. just observation that the car was bouncing around a lot but it appears that's due to a subpar camera mount and not the performance of the coilovers.
Hope it rides better, because the stock stance is really the best look. You can always raise the car back with this new suspension.
Dude, you should have left it alone, it was fine the way it is
Lowering my $8900 aston martin for $20 off ebay
GlutesBrah69 you hot your shit twisted homey. Tavarish cartel !!! Mexican mafia backed ese. Go take your hater shit elsewhere.
Potentially you could: by cutting the springs, but this is something that I would never do.
I think this looked way better stock...
Personally think its too low at the front. Looks worse
I agree with you.
Yeah, just a hair too low, though i suspect it looks great IRL. What really doesn't look great is the protective film on the side skirts..
AliveGhost13 yeah, he should have only did .5" like he said at first, not .75"
Its adjustable, so he can always raise it if he doesn't like it.
Completely agree. It looks worse now.
Where is Taylor Ray? haha
MINKIBIZ that's all we wanted to know :p
this could be a 10 mins video ..
siemenssx1 i guess he does it because of the watch time the more watch time a video has the more its going to be recommended to people
Syahmi Amin clearly at the wrong channel mate...
I believe on CZcamsRed you get paid by how many minutes users watched the video, so there he'd make more money. But he's not doing CZcamsRed.
I always watch Tavarish's videos in 2x speed. So that turns it into a 10-minute video. :)
Seriously Tavarish, take this into consideration. You make good content but there's too much rambling. Try to make short concise videos.
Wait so the car is worth $3,000 ?
No, that is the cashback from aston.
No, you are mistaken. This vehicle was purchased for 8,900 US Dollars.
No, the garage lift is $2000
I thought he said his pants was $2000
Επ
Those front mud flaps make it look cheap. Like a a country truck on a pigs farm
I think it looked better with the stock suspension. The gap is unequal and the front end looks like you've blown your struts. The rear end looks fine.
Glad you're happy with it! The production version will have a few important changes to it so it'll be even better and address the access issues for the damping adjustment knobs ;)
Fuck, I skipped forward and was wondering why he wasn't showing the aston anymore. I thought it was the interior of a Chrysler 300
I personally think it's too low. It looks like the shocks are busted. I'd say raise it a bit
Gotta agree with all those who've said the front is too low for aesthetics, but it probably does improve handling in corners. As for pushing the wheels out towards the edge of the wheel wells, definitely pick up some wider and lighter wheels with the corresponding rubber.
Does not have $2500 to fix Mercedes brakes.
Spends $3000 lowering an Aston Martin.
Guilherme Atencio thst makes sensr, doesn't it?
Priorities, right?
Guilherme Atencio I guess the lowered suspension was more important that the Mercedes brakes - it makes sense, kinda
It looks worse lowered, the car was perfectly proportioned with the factory suspension...
HI Tavarish
Just to advice you that please don't put spacers on the wheels as they will have detrimental loss of strength on the wheel bearings they will also have less lever strength which in turn will snap the wheel off.
Just some helpful advice.
Regards
Migs Migs
Lowering doesn't automatically improve the handling. You need an allignment for it to handle better.
looks like shit afterwards m8. probably worth 2000$ at the moment.
Haha I know 561 really well. And the Aston looks like it was moving pretty decent on there. Looking good.
I agree 💯! This looked perfect the way it was..
I've had BC on two different cars now and they are fantastic.
Count on it dropping about at least 1/2 inch after it settles, make sure to align it now and after it settles, I have the same coils on my car, cheers.
How are you gonna adjust dampening? The best part about an adjustable coilover is that you can adjust the ride quality with it... and BC coilovers can ride pretty well if set up right
I think the front is too low, while the back is too high. But that is my opinion. If Tavarish likes it, I'm okay with that, it's his car/money. No need to hate.
Poor tavarish, everyone is hating on his car.
"its more of a weekend GT cruiser"......installs lowered suspension
I'm torn. I want to do wheels and tires...but don't want it to look like a roller skate. So I thought to lower it a bit.. but not sure I like how it looks. Decisions, decisions....
Tavarish...I understand what it's like to be a young guy and love these types of cars. You're only young once. However, unless the roads in Florida have no potholes or speed bumps or even wheel curbs, you are simply asking for problems you don't need. And, for what? The car actually looked better before. Your Aston-Marin is a street car to be driven on public roads. When you lose sight of that and pretend you're driving a race car, things get expensive in a hurry. I'm really glad you don't live out here in the Bay Area. Your car would have a life span of about 15 minutes due to the thousands of potholes that are found on every road all over the entire Bay Area. No offense meant but I'd put that suspension back the way it was before you regret your decision.
Bro nice mod! Next you need lambo doors, a badass wing, and carbon fiber hood!
Brother, what you needed wasn't suspension but a fresh haircut! lol
David Y I got one! this video was a month in the making. I also changes clothes 3 times.
Hahah nice! I've been to FL a few times and yes for this Canadian boy to face that humid/hot weather.. I do believe you change that often! :D
Please tell me they actually modeled that suspension based on the corner weights, desired frequency, trave,=l, flat ride, etc. and did not just slap something together like how their kits normally are done. I could never imagine spending 3K for a suspension that is 1K for almost any other platform. And why the hell didn't they use swift springs?
I actually live in Clermont not far from 561 and if you want to drive a fun road go to 455 through montverde and ferndale you won't regret it.
why the hell would you lower that, its was designed around that height, your mudflaps will become scrapflaps.
I put a set of bc racing coil overs on my 91 MR2. I really like the ride and how well they have held up. I run mine on the softest setting the winter and the middle setting in the summer.
Man I thought this guy had taste then I see what he does to the Aston and the SL55. SMH
what did he do to the sl55
Which car impressed you more? The Aston or the Merc? Say they had equal value, which would be the keeper? Thanks!
i think he would choose the sl55
stock height with spacers would be the best choise on these cars
That suspension is gonna settle a little lower in a couple of days. How easy is adjusting the damp/ride height? Can you do it without taking off the wheels?
I guess I was the only one who thought that was Evans SC when they were taking the Vantage out of the garage
Screw everyone else i like it lol. Plus it is nice to see an Aston that might look a bit different. End of the day it is up to you. Also they are not exactly cheapo ebay coilovers
Aston has manual or shit shift transmission where it’s going to cost you one of your kidneys to replace the clutch and Porsche has PDK. That’s just part of the reason why people like me lust after the Aston but end up buying something else.
Have you explained in any of your videos why that panel under the door is so discolored?
spire107 it's a clear bra
I read "it's clear bruh"
its low already, you lower it,youll not go through pot holes
Looks worse.
When he's driving on the road in Clermont after the coilovers were installed I thought I needed a new pair of glasses.
Ahh man that E90 M3 though... Looks good man, get some spacers on to get those wheels flush and it will look sweet.
Get some HRE rims like mine..... take a peak but I only have one video showing them. But your race shop should be able to get some specs and you can avoid spacers and decrease unsprung rotational mass which increases my acceleration and REALLY improves breaking.... holy crap it stops on a dime.
Looks like it needs a slightly softer rebound for road use.
usually I am quite quick to point out his obvious and many fails...but this one looks ok IMHO...the wells may look a little too wide at the very bottom now...but overall pretty good.
So lemme get this straight: You bought $8900 worth of suspension parts to lower your $3000 Aston Martin Vantage SL55 AMG?
Freddy: looks like you need wheel spacers to bring the wheels out more flush with the fender... also is there a lot of rear camber now? Or just the lense?
I need to see tavarish and farshad in the same video someday
This video quality is still good even if it was from a phone.
Lowering is almost always a bad idea...always some over enthused new owner who basically knows next to nothing about cars but does typical mods to impress...Factory especially the high end brands already dialed in the perfect mix but listen to this fool...omg this is so cool so engaging, then that the moron he bought it from later completely regrets everything and sells the car in shame and move on to another and repeat the process.
Tav I love your vids, u r a true petrol head not afraid of doing mods because YOU want to enjoy your motors to the max, keep it up man ATB
So I Cheaped my $8,900 Aston Martin for a Mercedes and I fixed it myself for $3,000 on my SL55 AMG $20.
Oh snap! Head into work and I get a new video from Tavarish?? What a glorious Friday! Notification squad stand up!!
Cheap Aston? Didn't know it was $8,900.. damn cuz
Whats your take on wheel spacers ? I have heard different stories with regards to safety ... Hmmm ?
Tavarish when are u going to be making a s class daily driver
Update video again I am missing you upgrading It plzzz
tavarish, next time edit the speedo because i can see you doing 82 miles/hour
That road looked pretty sweet. Check out Ozello Trail on your way to Peck's Old Port Cove for another amazing driving road in Florida
First 3000$ exhaust then a 3000$ suspension. What's next? A 3000$ spoiler...
The Aston rocks my socks.
Going to be a bitch to adjust these later. This guy just likes working harder
Why have you put cheap in the title all of a sudden?
looking at the comments... that poor company invested 3k to promote this
Hi Tavarish. Did you know a channel called "Brian Collins" has used some of your video's? I believe they have been taken down now, as JohnathanW asked his subscribers to report him. He had many of Johnathan's video's too. Just a heads up from a fan.
How does the Aston Martin race team adjust their suspension settings on their race cars ?
but does it have a bumper to bumper warranty?
Definitely need some spacers! There's a one take video from Matt with a lowered and spaced Aston Martin vantage and it looks dope!
You should rebuild your brakes and paint the calipers and the wheels
Now i remember why i didn't sub to this channel.
I remember wheelgaps, it was a long time ago.
Easy way to reduce wheel gap is to just get bigger tires
Put some spacers front nd back it will look aggressive af
Sounds great 7 love the 6 speed bro
And that, will definitely violate the bumper to bumper warranty.
Why does it look that side skirt color does not match to the body? Some protective layer on top?
You mean....changing the suspension AND lowering made the car handle better. Fam, y u only talking about the lowering aspect?
I don't think it looks bad, but give that poor car a bath, looks so dirty.
Know what I call Tavarish's garage?
The junkyard.
Tori Black I'd love to have a junkyard with an Aston Martin and 2 mercedes 😂😂😂
a lovely junkyard though
Ok lets see you drive over a speed bump and see how well your $3000 was spent.
"im just a complete cheese ball right now" -Tavarish 2017
I hope you kept the expensive OEM suspension components...
3k and it doesn't even come with swift springs. should of got the inverted shocks version too
You guys really know how to F up a nice car
All this for 3/4"... at least they gave it to you instead of wasting 3k...
Nooooooo! I am glad you are happy with it but in my opinion it looked better before.
@tavarish we need those truck updates m8.. and I'm from the uk, never seen a truck like that but I'm really interested to know what you did with it
He is such a dad
Looks good...now put some nice little bigger rims...
Totally ridiculous paying 3 grand to lower a car 3/4 inch which not only gives you a bouncy ride but looks terrible
Do you Americans call those gentle curves, the bends? They wouldn't warrant a second glance, if that was in the UK.
Tell the truth... You were already in love.
I was looking forward to seeing Taylor Ray or Marco lol.
