This is one of the best looking D2s out there. No over the top styling, no slamming 2cm off the ground, no humongous 21" rims. Just simple 18" Ronal wheels and a good polish to that black paint. Simple, yet super elegant look. I love it. Too bad they're becoming ever so rare. Mark my words guys - in 5 years time a car, just like this one, well-looked after and serviced, will be worth the same as it was new. After that the price will only go up.
In MY OPINION, this one of the best kept secrets of the "car world" ... This a "timeless design", all aluminum, solar sunroof, dual pane glass, QUATTRO drive system, wonderful cars to drive ...
Audi S8 D2 one of the greatest outhere, like the interior, still modern to this day, great car.

What a beauty.
This is collector spec. Recaros, black on black, alcantara headliner, carbon fiber trim and just 65k on the odo. Really a special car. Even more interesting, you could get these with a 6 speed, at least in Europe.
I'll try to get my hands on a D2 at some point. Love the understated design.

Never drive it with low fuel. Fuel tank is the biggest problem in this car. Changing fuel pump in it is pain in the butt and driving often with low fuel causes death to fuel sensors. Believe me, I have this car and had those problems and it's common.
Well aware of this, I put fuel in the vehicles before we test drive because not only is it bad to run low/out with regards to the pump side of things it is also not good for air/fuel mixture on the turbo vehicles when boosting. We do not fill them up or put more than what is needed because if they show a reading on the fuel gauge the shipping line complain due to fire risk so it is a bit of a balancing act to keep "everyone" happy.
even i had this car 5 months ago. The main problems were the gasoline tank was not accurate, transmission started trouble with the gear shift then started cooling problems but all the time that I had the car I was the happiest man even though I finished all the money to fix the her. But the main problem was that the transmission is 5 o'clock and that's not good. It's the best car with the best engine. I will always have a car like this in my garage.
It's really not that hard my man. Just a lil wiggle room

It isn't chrome on the side-mirrors but aluminium, due to the fact that the whole car is made out of aluminium
in newer audis sadly it's plastic
the roads are so narrow it amazes me
carbon fiber trim is amazing. we only got wood trim in US
I once had one of these that was literally bullet proof come into the shop i worked at. Bullet proof windows, doors, panels etc. Heavy girl. Not sure how, or why. It just was.
And if it was manual 6 speed, that will be perfect car. Trim is beautiful no wood , like in the ⛵ boat

Why do you have these white plastic cubes under the windshield wipers?I love your roadtest videos. I watch them over and over again!
The yard has an infra red security fence and the cube you see turns it off as the vehicle gets closure to the yard. 90% of the test drive videos are done on Sunday so normally during the week the security is turned off during the day time but at night and on Sundays it is turned on fully. Our transporter has a built in cube and we also have some portable ones which is the one you see. The reason I place it on the window is so I can remember where it is instead of hunting through vehicles trying to find it.
What a beauty! I drive a 3.7 A8. Are there many more S8`s around in Japan?
Peter Alexander I can't imagine there is that much volume as they only planned to sell ~50 a month in the US market.

Got to love German cars for their clean understated lines unlike all the Japanese cars with scoops flairs bulges with no function. You go Audi,BMW, Benz

Arcturus it isnt aftermarket. he cut it out as soon as he said it when he realized its from audi.

I have the shorter wheelbase A8 Quattro and those cars I'm telling you there sleepers I push mine to 175 miles per hour stock I remove the limiter I think I don't remember it's been awhile

As compare the W210 E55 with this S8, which is better, more silent and have greater ride quality, you drove them both.
to be honest...... one is just as good as the other but if I had to pick one it would be the S8.

Considering purchasing one of these as a daily. Hard to turn down for ~10k landed in the province next to me... Seems like a no brainer honestly... Lol
