It’s just so funny to think that one week ago these stations were fully operational with trains running through constantly, then the next week it’s just gone. They’ve progressed ridiculously fast

It’s interesting to see the differences between the construction of the Perth sky rail and the Melbourne sky rail. Over here in Melbourne a large amount of construction such as putting up the pillars and stuff was actually done with trains STILL running, leading to less disruption, I wonder why Perth hasn’t opted for this approach. If you want to see what it looked up just look up “Melbourne sky rail construction with trains running” it was crazy to see trains carrying passengers through an active construction site!

They did that for Bayswater. Building the bridge of the new station. However they had to demolish the old station.

They did this for most other railway upgrades. Only shutting down small sections at a time. But when it came to the Armadale line they gave us all the middle finger and shut the whole thing down

And if the Welshpool station demolition gets captured by someone whether it’s yourself or another enthusiast that’d be pretty amazing, as it would be the last moments of a station that is not being replaced or renovated caught on camera

I'm pretty sure it's happening tomorrow at some stage, if not then Monday.

Great video, love your work. One suggestion cut down on waving the camera side to side as much. Keep up the good work.

5:26 The transmission cables that went through Oats Street went underground. Near the oats street stops on Shepperton road you can see where they go underground. Apparently the tower at Oats Street will require a road closure to be removed.

I kinda hope they keep at least one of the old dot matrix displays at the new Oats Street station

I reckon they should just replace a car lane at 0:42 instead of demolishing native bushlans

I am surprised they got rid of all the bus stops at the stations, destroying things is making new stuff takes time.

It's kinda a shame that they just demolished everything immediately.
It would've been cool to see them auction off some memorabilia like the platform markers

In the conclusion of the video I noticed that the Natural gas bus had problems. Probably I this may got to do with not just mechanics but the age. I assume that this bus had clocked 1 million KM on the odometer

Hey I filmed the 206 ride from Carousel to Murdoch train station, but we stopped at thornlie train station and got footage from my Phone arriving and departing Thornlie station. I still need to upload it.

I think maybe the 907 could go to Victoria Park but I really really doubt a 221 artic could fit down those roads, I think Transperth wants to avoid embarrassment with drivers getting the articulated busses getting stuck on the tight corners on those small streets.
