This series had it all. Shooters, dunkers, slashers, defense, offene, clutch shots, OT, 2 OT, 3 OT, intensity, passion. Hands down, the best 7-game playoff series of all-time. This is what basketball is all about.
I've never seen a series with play this consistently close. This is not only the best first round series to ever be played, this was arguably one of the best of all time. 7-8 OT periods, went to 7 games, so many games decided by 3 or less, and the passion these teams displayed, it was like a Finals atmosphere. Such a badass series, the celtics were so tired after this series they didn't stand a chance against the magic because of it.
+CELTICS ARE THE BEST maybe saying they didn't stand a chance against the magic was a bit harsh, but I was basically saying this series took a lot of energy out of them.
Knicks/Heat met 4 postseasons in row and all games went to last game. Fights/ejections it was like a war. I agree though, this series you could just tell was on another level.

This series shows you how good Ray Allen was man...this dude was hitting clutch 3 after clutch 3 after clutch 3. Just an incredible performance by him game after game.

Seeing Tyrus Thomas play, it makes you wonder what happens if the bulls don’t make that trade and just keep LaMarcus Aldridge. Maybe they wouldn’t have gotten Noah or Rose, but in theory a young core of Rose, Deng, Aldridge and Noah would’ve been insane. Wouldn’t have had to have signed Carlos Boozer and maybe could’ve used that money to sign a good starting shooting guard.
Its not just the close games, but it was the great matchups we say. Rondo entering his prime vs rookie d-rose. Ben Gordon vs Ray Allen, The truth vs John Salmons. Perkins and Big Baby vs Thomas and Noah. The games would come down to everyone
