  • Blunami opens the door to onboard battery power. This is a big deal for, say, garden railroaders or Lego railroaders. Get access to all of our amazing features, without the need for a DCC system. However, Blunami can still be operated in DC or DCC as needed. Watch now to learn more!

    George, Great video.! That is my next upgrade for my On30 C-16s from Broadway Limited. Lots of space in the tender!

    Do you have a wiring diagram on your ensure for battery install with reed switch or toggle?

    I was not aware bluenami supported battery so this is great!
    I recently purchased bluenami for some of my HO scale trains when support for Android came out and I am loving it.
    I have a garden large scale layout but it's a nightmare to keep it clean so i gave up on trying to clean it and only run the train inside.
    Was thinking of upgrading to other systems out there with battery but the problem is they have different technology that is either not compatible with DCC or half compatible and this seems like the way to go.
    One thing i did notice is there is no explanation on how to connect a battery in the manual or at least i could not find it and a recommended battery for something like a USA trains SD70 and the bluenami BLU-4408.
    If we can get these details that would be very helpful.

      Yes, the option for battery power is one of the best features of Blunami! Battery will vary based on your model. George is working on a video that will give some recommendations. You can reach out to our Support Team for recommendations based on your specific mode: (970)259-0690 ext. 22 or support@soundtraxx.com.

      @@SoundtraxxDCC Awesome, looking forward to the video just so we i do things right with my decoder, also if the video can indicate how to turn on the decoder when it is on battery, i saw another one where the decoder was turned on with magnet but don't see decoder having a reed switch so helpful to know if we need to just put a reed switch on it manually on one of the battery terminals. Thank you!

    I have this loco but didn't realise there was enough room in the boiler for the decoder. Mine is an older one when they first came out. Guess I'll have to look in to it...literally! Is there a video on doing a loco instal? Thanks...good info.

      We do not have a video of this install, but we are available to give you advice: (970)259-0690 or support@soundtraxx.com.

    Very nice, and a very attractive option. With the battery pack you are using, on a dead rail layout, how much run time do you get between charges?

    • @SoundtraxxDCC
      @SoundtraxxDCC  Před 2 měsíci

      I have not yet run it actively on a full layout. Most of my experience was running it on a table at a show, and not running it constantly, I had to recharge it the second day. So, I would imagine you could get 2-3 hours of constant running. One of these days, I’ll get to a On3 layout to confirm. I hope this helps.

    George, Would like to see way way more on battery installs since this is the second best feature on the invention of the Blunami under it being bluetooth/ wireless controlled!.. Like battery sizes and amp size/ratings, and how long they run??

      I cannot speak directly to this. I will consider this in references, but I also know he has been having some health issues and I have not gotten any return calls to my inquiries.
