@Frank Dodich Right...What did Dirk have? "In the Mood?" Pardon me if this seems argumentative. I'm not meaning to argue or get heated over a silly matter. Pratt wrote most of the lyrics, while Dirk and Lerxst only had less than ten apiece credited to them. It's stated that Dirk and Lerxst had no interest in writing, so Pratt did it, and he made Rush a solid, solid trio. Wonderful, isn't it? We don't hear much about drummers writing words.
Yep. Amazing that they took their musicianship and self-imposed duty to their fans extremely seriously yet didn't take themselves that way. Love the videos they made late in their career. "Rash"
That's what makes Geddy & Alex so great, they are so down to earth that they can take part in anything Canadian, such as SCTV, Rick Mercer, or The Trailer Park Boys. They have a sense of humour and they get it. They are pure Canadian.
Who in the heck could give this a thumbs down?! Ridiculous. I adore the band's ability to poke fun at themselves. Rest In Power, Professor. You have inspired millions.
These guys were perfect. Impeccable musicianship, great song writing abilities, and they never took themselves too seriously! At least it wasn't a flagpole...
The best part, aside from their Virtuoso performance level and their inherent sheer Canadian niceness, was Geddy's commitment to greeting their fans. He had a whole story about Italian fans in Germany that he stood up and drove away from. He said the guilt followed him for 200 Kilometers. If I ever get the chance to meet them I'll just drop off a bag of presents, take a couple quick photos, and thank them for making this life most excellent.
the flagpole your referring to the movie... A CHRISTMAS STORY?. @Ramadan Steve - Calm down. Maybe Isabel IS just 12 years old. How many 12 year old girls do you know that appreciate RUSH enough to watch a Geddy Lee comedy video? I'd rather she watch the video and leave an adolescent comment than waste her time watching a fucking Justin Beiber video and leave no comment! Go pick on someone your own size, Ass Head.
00:28 Warns people "worried about their brain should always wear a helmet." 00:40 Next scene, he's not wearing a helmet. (i guess he's not concerned. LOL)
I was just listening to some Rush, when suddenly this came up on the first page on youtube. I have seen it before, but it was years ago. So had to see it again. It's so funny!

@@carterelliottmusic Yeah, he only writes the insanely complex bass lines.
...you caught that too! 🤯🤣
My thought EXACTLY.

This. Is the most Canadian I've ever seen Geddy.
Matt C you need to check out Bob and Doug’s Take off to the great white north video then.
Somebody sent our family in Australia 'Strange Brew' in the 80's. We knew all about you from that propaganda film....
Take off!

Yea!
It immediately strained his voice so badly he had to cancel 12 concert dates.
Sung.
Ged has been holding out on us.... 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
You think he lost his pair there?
"Geez, that was fun."

RIP The Professor. Despite his serious persona,
RUSH always had the best sense of humor in the business.

@Mark Mace ok, gotta look that one up!
I love his yell down the hill. My favorite.
"Then hand your toboggan to your roadie to take back up the hill"
Hahaha.
I know, right. Who wouldn't be happy schlepping their toboggans uphill? That "roadie" looks suspiciously like Neil.

Oh man Geddy's chipmunk voice is still higher than most rockstars at their prime. He's just such a fun guy to watch.
Geddy's scream at 0:51 always kills me XD
This is the funniest public service announcement ever produced.
It makes me sad he and Alex will never get to go tobogganing with Neil ever again. But it makes me happy that they all did so many times!
Amen
@ARK GREENHOUSE Alex will be happy to throw the first snowballs.
