You just saved me a service call (or for the extremely anxious brain, a new dishwasher) and I can’t thank you enough. There was a small price label stuck to the bottom of a little dish I bought, and that sticky label made its way to the hose under the sink at 1:16

Worked! Other tutorial didn't even consider checking the drain hose. Thank you!

Thank you so much. I managed to do the under the sink trick since I clean my inner tray every few weeks. I found a three inch piece of string but nothing else. Turned machine on and it drained right away just like in your video. I should mention that I thoroughly rinse anything that goes into the dishwasher because I need it to keep working. The only downside was I dumped the water out into the sink before I reattached the hose. Very funny, eh. Thank you again so very much! Blessings to you and yours.

Good video. Concise, accurate. Once suggestion - if you find mineral buildup in the filter, soak it in vinegar to dissolve the minerals.

Great video. Short and to the point. Worked great. I especially liked the "high tech pen" used to clear any debris from the drain pipe. Continued success in your business.

We have hard water. Can you soak the filter in vinegar to dissolve the calcium, without damaging the filter?

Didn’t work for me. I think the clog is in another part of the hose. I clean the filter weekly.

My Bosch dishwasher runs much longer than the program says. I turned it on at 10pm and it was still running at 6am. What can I do?

This video is pretty hilarious. If you can afford $1,000 Bosch dishwasher, you should probably go ahead and splurge on a $12 screwdriver. 🤣

Hello, absolutely agree with your comment and we do use proper tools when repairing appliances. The idea of this video was to show that the drain pipe of the Bosch or any other dishwasher can be cleaned using the knife and pen.

Hello Sajid, thanks for watching and thanks for the question. I would check the breakers and power supply line first, then track the power cord connection to the dishwasher. If still not good call manufacturer for warranty services

I have a brand new Bosch dishwasher that I hardly use. When I was looking under my sink, I noticed that the drain line going into the disposal from the Bosch had water in it. The water is nice and clean. The drain reservoir is empty and the filters are nice and clean… the dishwasher is effectively brand new. Less than one year old.
I reset the cycle and then manually did a rinse and drain cycle… I was able to see the water being flushed through the hose since it’s a clear hose. After the cycle, there was still water left in the line.
Is this normal? And if not, what should I look for? There are no error codes in the dishwasher is great at washing the dishes… No performance problems. Justice water sitting in that hose that’s bugging me.

@@amac8487 My install was done wrong and instead of using a clamp to secure the hose they just tucked it between sink and back wall. If they had installed it properly, I would never have looked at this.
Yes- there will be water in the hose, between the pump and the point where the hi-loop turns downhill to the disposal.
Hit this link to see. Set speed to 1.5 and just watch it :-). czcams.com/video/QtKwW98-oyA/video.htmlfeature=shared

@@thisistheway812thanks for the reply! I’m not sure what my issue was, but I took off that hose, pushed a screw drier through and wiped with paper towel, reset the machine, and it seems to drain now. Oddly, It didn’t really seem clogged up at all, but maybe I missed something.
I never realized how important the hose positioning would be in this situation. Def something for me to note for future. Thank you :)

If that's the case then you may need to call a technician to assess the dishwasher. It may be that the main pump in the dishwasher is gone and needs to be replaced. It also depends how old the dishwasher is and replacing the pump may be more expensive than buying the new dishwasher

    • @techvillappliancerepair3825
      @techvillappliancerepair3825  Před rokem

It seems like the issue may be with the pump itself. If cleaning the pipe didn't help it looks like you need to call a technician and let him evaluate the situation on site.
