The EQV is a crucial component of Mercedes' ambitious plan to electrify more than half of its entire van lineup by the close of the 2020s. Looking ahead, Mercedes-Benz aims to solidify its leading role in the industry with the VAN.EA vehicle architecture set for a 2026 rollout. However, there is room for improvement in battery and powertrain efficiency. The current 90 kWh unit yields a somewhat underwhelming WLTP rating of 364 km, dropping to 266 km for highway cruising. This consideration becomes crucial for a luxury van aspiring to cover substantial distances, especially given the price tag approaching €100,000.
