Baldy Mesa 3N24 | The Best Kept Local Secret? (Short Version)

This is the shorter version of our trip up Baldy Mesa Road. I also made a longer "Trail Run" version of my adventure on Baldy Mesa Road, 3N24, which features a full video of the trail from start to finish.
This trail was one of my favorites- it is close to home, and the views of the Cajon Pass and Mt. Baldy were spectacular. The trail is more challenging than a typical fire road, and there are many spots where one side of the trail is a steep cliff, leaving you limited options for choosing a line.
The GoPro Hero 9 I used to film this run does an amazing job of stabilizing the video, and can make a bumpy road seem like floating on a cloud. I aired down before hitting the trail, and would highly recommend it for this trail.

There wasn’t a lot of shade anywhere on the trail, so I would bring an easy up.

Thanks for the video. How long is the dirt road leading to the trail head? I want to haul my dirt bike up here but the dirt road to get there may be to much for my haul vehicle.

1.5 miles from the freeway exit and McDonalds. It’s not terribly challenging, but can be a little rough. Taken slowly it should be ok.
