I ordered a home internet box and moved it around to a couple different tower locations where I have other properties. At one location when it wasn't being throttled , it had download speeds up to about 113 at the best and generally 50/70 most times of the day in a rural area pre tourist season. Took it to metro detroit and one location had download of 40, another had 30. this was early afternoon so not peek streaming time like around 8 PM when it would probably be even worse.

Hello, I know this is late, but my story was like yours. I stay in a rual area. There's no internet out here, very bad. I got t mobile home internet, it sucks. What I also tried before taking it back to the store. I had a mesh extenders. I used the t mobile home internet as a modem and mesh system as my routers. Spread them out throughout the house, and it became very fast. I did a speed test, and it shows the t mobile sucks in my area, but under the mesh system, I was getting 750 download and upload speeds. Shocked still not understanding it, but I run a smart mancave, and it is on point.

I'm in a big city and was excited about trying out 5G home internet service. Only T-Mobile was available for me in my location - or so they say, but it never worked. I went back to the store three times over a period of two weeks, and they said each time that they were working on the local tower. The in-store customer service was pretty good. On the second try, the employees in the store knew me, because they all at some point tried to connect me to the tower and made calls to T-Mobile for me. On the third try, in store again , it still never worked. Needless to say, I never got the service. I want this technology or a similar service to work - hot spot is just not enough data - but from my short experience, this technology is dubious right now, unfortunately. On the other hand, it might just be T-Mobile is the problem. I don't know.

Then starting a month ago it disconnects from Internet 1x or 2x every day. I shut off / turn on and it resets, but daily resets are kind of a bother.
I ordered a new gateway. I hope it fixes the problem.

Fast internet and reliable too. Lately I’ve had Internet issues and I just ordered a new 5G gateway. I hope that fixes it.
T-Mobile has much better customer service than Comcast or AT&T. Those two companies are so behind the times. They can learn a lot from how well T-Mobile treats customers. Also, at $50 a month with autopay this is much cheaper and faster than any Internet connection I’ve had, EVER!!!
Hope my new Gateway solves the dropped Wi-Fi signal. I really do plan to stick with T-Mobile!
If only they offered a decent bundle price I’d switch my cell phone service to T-Mobile from AT&T but their prices are the same.
If they offered a decent promo for Home Internet + 1 phone line I’d buy both from T-Mobile this minute 😄

@@animaldonut hehe well you're on a roll. Hopefully the gateway you're looking to experience gives you a better one. I bit the bullet after our friend here said he switched back to Xfinity just because of the good faith I have in his initial experience and because I myself am way behind the times, so I thought I could deal with it since it's a positive change regardless. For me at least.
And well, for the first two weeks (the trial period) it was working pretty fast no glitches or anything. Just once I wanted to see where the signal would be better but it didn't improve to excellent. It's still good though but seems a little slower now. I hope as I'm looking for a job that it doesn't fail me 😊

No, 5G is just a name and number for mobile communication
A such as 5th Generation. If your camera is saying 2.4ghtz it’s talking about the type of Wi-Fi connection that it needs to connect.

The only thing I hate is they charge you for every device separately you have hooked up to your system. They even give your gateway a phone number so they can charge you more money. Will be very expensive if you use several devices.

yeah its worth the $50 bucks I got tired of paying over 90 dollars for internet. It doesn't matter if its Att, Spectrum, or anybody else these companies always raise their price in the beginning of every year without any explanation, finally I get to say f-off to these leaches and start saving some real money

They explained it in the fine print (and if you signed up online there's a mention of it on the price itself in smaller print). After 12 or 24 months (Depends on the specific plan on spectrum) of service then your price will go up. The only way to solve the issue is to contact them and say if the price isn't lowered you'll leave for another company that doesn't do this crap (either verizon home internet or tmobile home internet).
Btw i just put my address in on spectrum's site and they offer 1 Gbps for $59.99 for 24 months. (i think it goes up by $40 or $50 after not sure yet.)

Tmobile home internet is terrible. I tried it a year ago and it was fantastic (except my kids complained about the ping with their games) BUT I then tried it a month ago and it was absolutely terrible. Slow speeds, unreliable, drops.
