Yes dnt get it, it started good then my signal started lagging, turns out too many people where connected to my tower now, was told " dont worry, we will turn down new costumers because your tower is maxxed" but i said how does that fix my problem, terrible signal

Now speaking of the free time if you are doing OTR, it depends if they give you the same load over and over and you have downtime you can go to certain places. But it depends on the DM you have.

I know this video is old but I been with Roehl 8 months now doing otr flatbed. My main issue with Roehl is the pay. The best paycheck I got so far was $1050 take home. Most of my paychecks are about $800. I made about $600 per week at my last job working construction. If I worked this many hours there I’d be ballin lol. The pay is pathetic for how much bs we deal with. I served in the army before all this so I’m used to being away from home but the difference was I had damn good friends that were there with me in the same boat. I talked to my fm about the pay and she said to manage my hours better so I did. I also mentioned how in flatbed I don’t get paid for strapping or chaining. Only tarping. She said that’s why we get a higher cpm. But I lose a few hours every time I got to secure/unsecure a load which means lost miles. So it basically balances out with van/reefer. So at that point I’m doing all that extra work for no benefit. Last week she called me and told me I had to pull over to add a couple straps. So I had to pull into a rest area and take my tarps off to do it so I lost 3 hours. I said I wanted to be paid for untarping and tarping twice but she said no. I wanted to leave the truck there so bad but I didn’t want to get charged with abandonment. I’m trying to stick out my contract but this place is driving me nuts. I’m just tired of not getting paid for half the work I do. If anyone reads this just be warned. I wouldn’t recommend Roehl. They’ll get you your cdl. But not even that’s promised. They kicked someone out of my class for not getting the backing down within 2 weeks since the class is only 3 weeks. Either you keep up with the fast pace or you just wasted your time and money and go home with less than you had before.

Excellent review. I picked up the classic at the thrift store for under $20. It’s replacing my current grill, air fryer and dehydrator. I may upgrade later but this is a great start.

Mental health is VERY important. I love that you’re facing this instead of running… it’s okay to be scared/nervous. Water, sun and meditation 🧘🏾 chile. I’m only like 5 months in driving and definitely have seen and still do see how driving trucks changes a person. Being otr has literally brought a lot of things to me that I suppress… I take it day by day honestly

Congratulations for choosing you and your overall wellness. Therapy takes time to adjust to but you took the steps necessary for your healing or understanding. After trying out several therapist a more seasoned person worked best for me. Suggest to stick it out for a year. It’s ok to shop around. All the best

I haven’t finished the video yet. But starting therapy is excellent. One thing that I’ve learned about therapy is that you have to “do therapy”, not just go. Blessings to you.
